🏖️A good friend👫 was visiting Xiamen, so I went on an autumn outing with her to Gulangyu Island. My colleague's grandmother lives on Gulangyu Island, and she recommended Qi Zao Fujian Cuisine. Both the ambiance and the dishes were incredibly flavorful, full of the flavors of Southern Fujian! 🍲Boiled Eel: This was my first time having eel boiled in water, and it was amazing! The spicy, refreshing broth combined with the rich, savory eel meat was incredibly delicious without being greasy at all. Paired with a variety of refreshing vegetables, it was truly delicious😋 and I couldn't stop eating. 🥩Tong'an Feng Rou: This is a Southern Fujian dish! The whole piece of pork belly is stewed to tender, flavorful tenderness, melts in your mouth, and is rich but not greasy. 🈶 The side dishes, like shiitake mushrooms and chestnuts, are a truly classic flavor~ 🍵 Four-ingredient stewed duck: Rich in four ingredients, it's just as rich and mellow as the one I had at a friend's house in Zhangzhou. This four-ingredient soup is perfect for autumn, so it's warming and soothing~ 🥭 Soy sauce mango: Minnan people use soy sauce for everything, including fruit.
