It's a scorching summer 🔥. I'm really looking for a small village to spend the summer in. We're on a whim! 👣 After planning our itinerary with my girlfriends 📖, we booked a high-speed train ticket to Lu Village in Huangshan overnight 🚄, planning a 2️⃣-day retreat. 📍Departing from Nanjing, the high-speed train takes 2.5 hours to Yixian East Station. We'll get a ride directly to this hidden gem of a summer getaway—Wanglu Courtyard. The scenery along the way 🎐 is truly captivating: blue skies, white clouds, green grass, and even the fresh air. Upon arrival at the courtyard, the housekeeper showed us inside. It's a small, single-family house 🏠. Convenient parking 🈶 right in front of the house 🅿️ Parking A two-family house with a wooden style and a super cozy decor~ The large living room has everything you need 🈶 including a refrigerator and washing machine 👚. My friends and I ordered a bag full of fried chicken 🍗 and drinks 🥤. We spent a wonderful afternoon watching TV on the sofa 🛋️. In the evening 🌆, we took a horse-drawn carriage 🐎 to a local restaurant in Lu Village. It was our first time riding a horse-drawn carriage! We took a side road and got free admission 🎫. The chicken soup made with the chickens grown on the mountain 🐓 was absolutely delicious. We also had fried eggs and home-raised river shrimp 🦐. When you come to Lu Village, make sure to visit the most beautiful farmhouse!!! After a hearty meal, we visited Lu Village. Taking advantage of the sunset, we were able to appreciate its beauty. 🥳 The next day, we had breakfast at the Banyan Tree restaurant. 🍴 It had a wide variety of dishes, and my friends and I devoured it. 😋 We arrived at the Sixth Quarter Resort, which boasts a price tag of 6️⃣k per night. The scenery was stunning, and we took photos for ages. 🤳 There are other nearby attractions: Lu Village, Hongcun, and Xixi. They're not far away; a 10-minute taxi ride is all we need.
