Xiaoye Liang Shouzhao When I arrived in Yinchuan, I wanted to try the authentic hand-pulled lamb. I did some research before I went there. Xiaoye Liang Shouzhao is said to be a popular restaurant here, so I went straight here after I got off the plane. When I went inside, I saw that it was really popular and full of people. After I sat down, I ordered a bowl of local specialty eight-treasure tea, and then 2 servings of hand-pulled lamb, one of which was iced lamb neck, which I had never eaten before, so I ordered it to try. In addition, there was cold wolfberry leaves, which were all special dishes. They were really delicious. From eight-treasure tea to wolfberry leaves, each one was impressive.

This restaurant was recommended to me by my friend. The taste is really good, and the environment is OK, but there are too many people eating there. We ordered something called Eight Treasure Tea, and then I asked the waiter: What are the eight treasures in the Eight Treasure Tea? The waiter replied (wolfberry, longan, red dates, sand date, marshmallow, walnut kernel, sesame, jasmine tea). Then when the tea was served, I found out that other people’s Eight Treasure Teas all had these eight things, but mine had seven treasures, missing one of them, sesame. Then the waiter didn’t give me a clear answer, saying that they served the wrong one, and didn’t explain it to me properly, and seemed to be indifferent! My heart was really intoxicated. I finally came to Yinchuan and wanted to taste this delicacy, but they made a feint to the east and attacked in the west. The city routine is too deep - I want to go back to the countryside.

I went there specifically for the hand-pulled mutton, and ordered lean meat slices to avoid the strong smell of mutton. The meat was quite soft and hard to chew, and the key point was that it had no taste at all, not even salty, and only sour taste when dipped in vinegar. I really can't appreciate it... The traditional stewed snacks and eight-treasure tea are good. The stir-fried wolfberry sprouts are also good.

It was my first time in Yinchuan. My friend recommended the cold xiaoye shouzha (small leaf shouzha) which tasted great. It was 60 yuan per person and the food was very good. The only pity was that the chef got off work very early. When I wanted to order more dishes and main dishes, he had already gone off work. But it was indeed a bit late. It was worth a try. I will definitely order the hot shouzha next time I go.
