顾一夏👐 Heji Huimian:
The noodles were chewy, and the beef was generously sized. My tongue was a little numb afterward, though—maybe it was too spicy?
🥞 Geji Braised Pancake:
The pork belly was stir-fried with bean sprouts, but it was fatty yet not greasy, and the green garlic was absolutely delicious! The first bite was incredibly sour and refreshing!
🥣 Gao Qunsheng's Xiaoyao Zhen Hu La Tang:
The Zhen Hu La Tang is mild, retaining the peppery flavor, making it perfect for those who can't handle spicy food. The fennel fried dough sticks were delicious, and even better when dipped in the Hu La Tang!
🍲 Fang Zhongshan Hu La Tang (Halal):
The flavor is a bit stronger, so if you're a first-timer, try the "two-mix" (half tofu pudding, half Hu La Tang). The must-try pan-fried buns, beef box, and scallion pancakes are all excellent!
🍲 Ji Ma Hu Liang Pi:
My favorite is the chicken sliced noodles/potato noodle combination! It's incredibly fragrant! And the portions are generous!
🍲 Lao Liu Ji Mutton Soup:
It's delicious! Paired with the traditional guokui (a flatbread), a sip of soup and a bite of pancake, it's truly satisfying!
🍲 Qin Jie's Fried Chicken with Fresh Peppercorns:
Unlike the usual big plate chicken, this dish doesn't have potatoes, but instead has celery for a flavor boost. The fried pancakes are the base, and the fried chicken is sprinkled with sesame seeds when served! It's so fragrant!!
🍖 Lao Zhu's BBQ (Halal):
Honestly, their BBQ is truly delicious! The meat is freshly grilled, not pre-marinated! It's truly amazing!
I hope you enjoyed my sharing, and see you next time! 👋 #ZhengzhouHowTo #ZhengzhouFood #ZhengzhouFood
