excellent choice to visit for afternoon tea in experience English traditional place, fair price, polite staff, amazing food,

The toasties are the main draw here. The bread is perfectly toasted, crispy on the outside and soft inside, with a generous amount of melted cheese and ham. It's a simple thing, but they do it right. The pastries looked good too, but I always go for the toastie.

The granola yogurt was spot on, and their coffee selection really complemented it. Came back for the banana bread the next day.

Nice spot for a relaxed dessert. The staff are friendly and don't rush you, so you can really settle in. Tried the chocolate torte - it was good. Prices are fair. A comfortable place to unwind.

Been coming here for years. The spice blend is spot on, not just hot but actually flavourful. The portions look small in the bowl but they're decent once you dish it out. Always get their spiced tea.

The cod and chips portion was huge, couldn't finish it all. Proper, chunky chips, just how they should be. Good, honest food.

Birthday dinner. They brought out a little cake with a candle. Nice touch. Food was solid, nothing mind-blowing but tasty. Service was quick.

Popped in to get some work done. Wi-Fi held up fine, plenty of sockets for the laptop. Seats are comfy enough for a few hours. Good spot for that.

Popped in for a pint after arriving at the station. Right by the church, so dead handy. The lager was decent, just what I needed. A bit pricey for what it is, but the spot can't be beat for convenience.

Been here a few times now. The lobster is always so fresh and perfectly cooked. Honestly, you wouldn't guess from the outside, but the kitchen really knows what it's doing.

Popped in just before closing, and they were still so welcoming. The fishcakes were the highlight for me - really fresh, with a lovely crisp outside and a soft, flaky centre. A nice surprise for a late dinner!

Bacon sandwich and a hot drink for a fiver? Yes please. The sandwich was proper, thick cut bacon on soft bread. Staff were dead sound, no issues at all. Spot on for a quick lunch.

Nice spot for a quiet lunch. I had the soup and a sandwich, both were fresh and just right. The staff are friendly and not at all rushed, which makes it a very comfortable place to sit for a while.

The owner is so lovely, always chats while making your toastie. Makes it feel like a proper local spot to catch up with mates.

Good veggie options. Red curry had a nice kick, tempura veg was crispy. Vegan vanilla ice cream was a solid finish.

Been here a few times. The service is consistently efficient and the food reliable. The upstairs terrace is a solid spot when the weather's good.

The bottomless brunch is such a vibe for a group! The cocktails kept coming and the staff were super chill about our requests.

The chicken tikka baguette is a solid choice. The bread has that lovely crisp outside but stays soft inside, and they don't skimp on the filling at all. Really hits the spot for a straightforward, filling lunch.

The teriyaki chicken reminded me of home cooking, so comforting. The sauce had that perfect balance of sweet and savoury. Ate it in their cosy little corner, felt just right for a quiet evening.

Really liked the relaxed vibe here. The coffee was good, but what stood out was how fresh the ingredients felt. You could tell the avocado in my toast was perfectly ripe, not mushy at all. It's a nice local spot for a simple, quality bite.

Came for a weekday lunch, the view is lovely. But honestly, the portion for the main was a bit small for the price. I left feeling like I needed a snack later. The food itself was good, just wish there was a bit more of it.

The staff were so kind - they even gave us some pastries as they were closing up. It was a really nice gesture that made the end of our meal feel extra warm.

I grab takeaway from here all the time. The pho is always piping hot and fresh, perfect for a quick catch-up with a mate. Staff are lovely.

Ordered catering for a group of 50. Everything arrived piping hot, which was a relief. The team was really helpful sorting the logistics. My only note is that the wine list suggestions for the menu were a bit basic. Food itself was spot on.

Seated right away for bottomless brunch. Helen was super attentive and made the whole 90 minutes really smooth.

Grilled pork dumplings and chicken cashew peking style. Food's always hot and fresh when it arrives. Quick service, got my order in under 10 minutes. Perfect for a fast lunch.

Rooms are cosy and spotless, which was perfect for our girls' trip. The location is super quiet and easy to get to. The breakfast is massive! Really good quality ingredients, we were fuelled for the whole day. Staff were lovely.

Lovely little independent spot, perfect for a break from shopping. The atmosphere is cosy and the decor is charming. Had a flat white and a slice of their carrot cake - the cake was nice, but the coffee was a bit on the weak side for my taste. Still, a pleasant place to sit for a bit.
