The merch guy was a real fan, made the visit. Service was friendly too, even with the odd ordering.

The tasting menu is a solid lineup. Each dish had a clear, distinct flavor profile. The scallop course stood out—clean, briny, with a subtle hint of ginger. The duck was a bit too rich for my taste, but the skin was perfectly crisp.

The steak frites was good, a reliable choice. The location is really the thing though—just a quick walk from everything downtown. Made it so easy to grab a bite before heading out.

The walleye was fresh and the tartar sauce was really good. But the bourbon selection is what stood out to me—so many options to look through. It’s a cool spot for that.

The shawarma box was solid, but pairing it with one of their local sodas really made the meal. Great value.

The atmosphere at American Coney Island is vibrant and welcoming, making it a great spot to enjoy a classic Detroit meal.
