This cozy restaurant had welcoming staff and some of the best grilled fish I've ever had. I ordered the Dourada, it was simply prepared and accompanied by green beans, boiled potatoes and carrots. Just the way I like my food...simple without a lot of fuss. If the ingredients are fresh, you don't need a grand production.

Came on a Friday night, place was packed with live music outside. Staff kept it together pretty well, food took a bit but that's expected. Had the grilled fish, portion was solid for the price. Nothing fancy but it hit the spot.

The cod-focused menu is solid, and the wine list actually pairs well with it. Around €25 a head with dessert and a glass of something decent. Good spot if you're not in a rush.

Amazing quality and attention to detail. The staff is lovely, highly knowledgeable about sushi, and exceptionally helpful.

Nice restaurant. We had the Executive menu. It was very nice for the price offered. Soap, fish plate and desert for 12 euros including coffee. A bit disappointed that the desert on the menu was not offered because a bigger group had it all, but they substitute it with fruit.

One of the best places to enjoy Bairrada-style suckling pig! The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff are knowledgeable about their wine selection.

The steak came with chips and plain rice — nothing fancy, but the meat itself was fresh. Wine felt a bit overpriced though. Fine for a casual catch-up with friends, just don't expect anything special. 😊

Came here on a random weekday evening with a couple of friends. The rosé was actually a nice surprise, not something I expected to enjoy that much. Staff were friendly without hovering. Prices felt fair for what you get. The beer list has some interesting picks too. Only thing is the seating near the window is a bit cramped, but the vibe overall was chill enough to stay for a few rounds.

Been coming here for years. The owner actually remembers you and the food tastes like home. Not fancy, but you don't need that. Solid spot if you're in the area.

Stopped by for a quick bite and grabbed a burger with fries. Service was fast, no complaints there. Burger was solid, nothing crazy but it hit the spot. Fries were decent too. Prices are fair for what you get, especially around here. Probably one of the better spots in town if you're not looking for anything fancy.

The grilled octopus here was properly charred and tender, not rubbery like most places. Paid around 15€ for the dish, which felt fair for the portion. Service was quick even though the place got busy around 8pm. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Simple barbecue, done well. Portions are decent for the price, and the staff actually pays attention to you. Solid spot if you're craving grilled meat without breaking the bank.

The roast kid goat here is absolutely delicious, and the French toast for dessert is a must-try! The service is friendly and efficient, making for a great dining experience.

The sushi looked gorgeous, and the fish was definitely fresh. Some of the fusion rolls were a miss though. Service felt a bit all over the place, we were kinda rushed at the end. Decent, but pricey for what it is.

Right at the start of the umbrella street, so you can't miss it. Pastries were decent, nothing crazy, but the price was fair for what you get. Stopped in for a quick snack and it did the job. Service was friendly enough. Fine for a rest, just don't expect a mind-blowing dessert.

Great food, excellent service, the location can have a bit more style (no TV, more cosy lighting, etc). Recommended very much!!

The panna cotta was so good, honestly the best part of the meal. Prices are fair for what you get, definitely a solid spot to hit with friends. 😊

This restaurant has innovative dishes that could easily earn a Michelin star in the future. The creativity in the menu is impressive!

The franguinho with fries was a solid plate for the price. Place was packed with locals, always a good sign. Kinda quirky inside with that palm tree growing through the roof, but it works.

Pedro dos Leitões is a must-visit!This iconic restaurant is the first in the world to serve Bairrada-style roasted pig—and it sets the standard. Every time I travel north in Portugal, I make a point to stop here, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. The food is absolutely extraordinary. If you think you’ve tried roasted pig before, think again—nothing compares to the flavor, tenderness, and uniqueness of what they serve here. It’s an unforgettable culinary experience. A true must-try!

The roast veal with turnip greens was really good, and I liked how they kept the traditional sides simple. Rice pudding and custard for dessert felt like something my grandmother would make. Place was a bit quiet for a Saturday night, but that actually made it easier to enjoy the meal. Solid spot if you want honest local food without fuss.

The waiter was super friendly and took care of us the whole time. Food was tasty and portions were generous for the price 😊

We showed up late and they still let us order before closing. Food was solid, service friendly. Good spot if you're in the area.

Service was spot on - staff kept checking in without hovering. Made sure our drinks stayed full and the food came out right. Really appreciated that.

Tiny place, packed when I got there. Had the grilled fish and it came out hot, skin crispy, really fresh. Portion was solid for the price. Staff didn't rush me even though they were busy. Just note they only take cash, so come prepared.

The mixed barbecue was solid—came out hot and well-seasoned. Service was efficient, no complaints there. Decor's a bit rustic for my taste, but that's minor. Fair for the price.

Great restaurant, great wines from the winery, fantastic service, views and ambiance special, definitely recommend.
