TheForkUserSurprise package for us while on holiday. Was not sure about coming in to what looks like a business hotel/restaurant but honestly blown away by the food and environment. Possibly two best plates of food in have had in years. Boys were able to play on the foosball table too. Thank you. Great team great service. Outstanding chef.

TheForkUserI booked this restaurant for my husband’s birthday as a treat for the stunning location and because of the Michelin star. We opted for the 4 course Gastronomic Tasting menu . The service was excellent and the location is beautiful. We were a bit disappointed not be able to order from a menu but I loved the surprise element - we literally didn’t know what we were going to be served - and the wine pairings. The food and wine choices were exceptional especially the fish course and the gorgeous dessert of mulberry mousse. Delicious.

The waitstaff were very helpful and well-mannered. Their lemon and passion fruit sorbet could easily belong in a Michelin-starred restaurant. The pear and cider vinegar sauce was strong but paired perfectly with the duck. Be sure to try it with the foie gras as well 😎 .

TheForkUserWhat a unique place this in the picturesque Cale de la Vallee by the sea overlooking the busy slip. The staff managed by the very friendly Cedric are lovely, the location is amazing , the food is exceptional and it comes with a large leather bound wine list. Always a good sign. Breakfast from 8 to 10 am is a wonderful array of freshly baked croissants and bread warm from the hotel kitchens, local yoghurts and wide variety of fruit preserves, salted caramel, honey served by Eric who can never do enough for you. Ask for coffee from the machine rather than the filter or a pot of tissane. Just a shame on our last day we wanted the large table by the corner window and 2 walk ins got there first! What a cheek. For lunch I loved the grilled lobster (to die for) and the turbot. Very delicate flavours. We enjoyed the seafood platter with a delicious Sancerre rosé. Yummy oysters and langoustines from Cancale. Just lovely to sit on the terrace to watch the passersby and enjoy a leisurely meal


