Celebrated our anniversary here and honestly the portions were massive for the price. Couldn&#39;t finish my main. Staff were lovely too but the food alone was worth it.

The beer garden here is a proper sun trap, catches the light from lunch right through to evening. Managed to grab a decent spot without a mad scramble for seating. Pizzas were solid, but I was more taken with the wine list, a nice glass of something cold really sorted me out. Relaxed spot for an afternoon, no complaints.

The BBQ pork and nachos were the real deal, proper comfort food. We grabbed a nice bottle of red to go with it, which worked a treat. Service was sound, though the place was a bit mad busy.

The upstairs seating is a good shout if you want to hear the trad music without it being overwhelming. Chicken sandwich and goujons were honestly some of the best I&#39;ve had in a while, chips were proper fresh too. Service was sound, no complaints at all.

Stopped in for a drink and tried the Christmas gin with the strawberry swirl&mdash;lovely. Paloma was good too. Prices are a bit steep for the size, but you&#39;re paying for the vibe.

The rooms upstairs are spotless and comfortable, with a huge bathroom and great shower. Breakfast is a solid self-service spread, and the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Just be prepared for some street noise and firm pillows.

The smokey burger really stood out &mdash; proper char on it. Jambalaya had decent depth too. Staff were sound. Just found the place a bit warm inside, but I&#39;d go back for that burger.
