TheForkUserWonderful! The service was impeccable. The food very delicious and beautifully presented. Would recommend to anyone.
TheForkUserWhat a nice ambiance, delicious food and very friendly service. Thanks to The Fork for helping us find this as a last minute Saturday evening dinner!
TheForkUserNot sure why this was listed as the top restaurant as it is a chain and not very good at all. There is a much better Indian/Pakistani restaurant called Punjab in Chartres that has excellent food. You rating as the number 1 makes me question The Fork’s criteria.
TheForkUserFriendly and patient staff. Many choices of delicious food. I would definitely come back.
TheForkUserDelightful little restaurant with delicious food. Staff were attentive, and helpfulWe had a really good meal - I had the seasonal salad while hubby had the duck foie gras, then I had perfectly cooked fish and he had the beef. All were great. Nice wine list, lots of local suppliers named in the menu and the ambience was good - quiet music and unhurried so we spent time chatting over our meal and had a lovely evening. Loos were spotless too. Thank you ladies for looking after us so well.
TheForkUserI am definitely a foodie and live in a big food city. This was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The ambiance, the service, the food itself and the wonderful staff that was so patient when I tried speaking French (they were trying to speak English)! We had champagne apéro to start with lobster bites. Then an amuse bouche of gazpacho with gambas. Started with foie gras pâte that melted in your mouth, my husband had the lobster salad with very generous pieces of lobster. My main course was navarin de homard (lobster stew), again with a large amount of lobster and a to die for sauce that had to be sopped up with bread. Husband had melt in your mouth filet de boeuf. Dessert was profiteroles for me (but served on a warm plate to keep the chocolate sauce warm), and husband had feuillettes with strawberries and raspberries. I drank viré clessé, husband drank a Pinot noir from Loire. Still more petit fours to end the meal. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough for a special occasion. Look for the family dogs roaming the property (which is also gorgeous). They look a bit scary but are very friendly.
TheForkUserThis is excellent. Everything is sophisticated. The Chef and the Pastry Chef create wonders. The dishes are beautifully crafted.
TheForkUserThis was just what we wanted. Great choice of local food - snails, oysters, great meat and fish all prepared beautifully. Meat cooked on open fire. Would recommend
TheForkUserThis is a fabulous restaurant that I have no hesitation in recommending. The food is amazing and was the best we experienced on our 2-week trip, The team was busy but handled this well with good humour and total professionalism. The seating options are excellent with plenty of room both inside and out. We will definitely return when in the area.
TheForkUserA divine Desta restaurant with a serene view of the beautiful lake surrounded by forest and woods and Stone houses that one wishes to live in. The restaurant at night is lit beautifully and indoors is as lovely as outdoors. The owner is friendly and accommodating to strangers as well as locals. The chef always visits the table to make sure all is well, and the waiters are perfection: not too close and never too far away always Johnny on the spot with whatever you want. Fasting for 24 hours before you eat your luncheon there on the terrace or indoors is recommended as you will not want to leave a morsel behind and the portions are extraordinary inequality, imagination, and size. There is no way but to try this restaurant and figure out a manner and wish you might be able to describe it to the next person you pass it on to. Enjoy and make merry throughout the year.
TheForkUserTablecloth was not ironedWaitress poured red wine in a glas of white wine that I had just finishedFoie gras with brioche was very tastySouris agneau very juicyPlatter of cheese too much of the same , no mix hard and soft cheesesWaitress had to serve the whole dining room by herself …chapeau
TheForkUserGreat informal dining on a summer evening - and clearly very popular with visitors and locals. They offered an excellent choice of veggie food.
TheForkUserGreat cuisine, a good address to have. Thanks
TheForkUserWe really like this place! The cuisine is very very nice and the service perfect! It’s nice to have this kind of restaurant in the area! The only thing I would suggest would be to add more vegetarian options. There is only one main at the moment… maybe next time I will have a good surprise and a new option I will love to try ;)
TheForkUserIt's always lovely to eat here. The ambiance, environment, food and the people working there everything is perfect. Will be visiting it soon

TheForkUserWe were here for family dinner. The food was excellent as usual, and the service personnel was kind (as usual, too). Always a good experience to be here.
_TI***16A fantastic choice for a business lunch! The limited menu is perfectly balanced, and the service is top-notch, making it a great spot for professional gatherings.
