Our dinner at Le Cheval Noir was one of the most memorable dinners we had in our time in France! From the consistency in quality of the food to the outstanding service and advice regarding wine paring, we could not have asked for more. We cannot recommend this establishment any more highly and will certainly return.

Always elegant and special. You feel amazing just being there and the food is amazing. Kind staff, great chef and great wine list

Beautiful views out over the vinesDelicious lunch. Chef came out to say helloNot an easy place to find but we highly recommend.

This is such a cute place; not many seats so reservations are a must!! The food was outstanding and the service was also outstanding! We enjoyed the wine list very much as many bottles offered are from the region AND available by the glass, so we could enjoy glasses from other wineries we hadn’t time to visit this trip; almost like a mini tasting with dinner included!

We were a group of 10 and were the only ones in the restaurant, on a Tuesday night. The food was excellent, with a depth of flavour and great flavour combinations. The service was very good and all of us thought the experience overall was superb. A limited menu, but what we had was enjoyed.

Amazing lunch. Everything was very good, if I have to find a flaw the desserts were probably not up to the standard of the first courses. If I return to this area one day I will definitely eat at this restaurant again.

Been coming here for years. The set menu is always solid, and the presentation stays sharp. It's that kind of reliable quality that keeps me coming back.

Simple spot, nice for a family dinner. The vibe is warm and welcoming, feels like a family-run place. We had a relaxed meal with the kids, no fuss.

The wine list is huge, six pages just for champagne! The staff suggested a local white and red, which turned out to be lovely.

Lunch on the terrace was nice. The welcome was warm, and the portions were huge! The ice cream sundae really stood out—creamy and just the right amount of sweet. A solid spot for a relaxed meal.

Quite and peaceful environment. Great selection of sushi, sashimi, tempura. Great appropriately priced wine list. Reservations not necessarily required but recommended. A five minute walk outside the town arches. Really good. No spirits offered.

The beef bourguignon. That's the thing. The sauce is deep, really rich, and the meat just falls apart. It's exactly what you want from the classic.

The staff here are friendly and professional. They really take care of you, which makes the whole experience feel warm.

The pork belly was so tender, just melts in your mouth. Plating is really pretty, like art on a plate. The wine list is extensive, but I wish they had more by the glass.

A nice spot for our first afternoon in Beaune. The local cheese plate was pretty good, and they had a decent selection of wines by the glass. The service was a touch slow, but it was a fine place to relax.

Been coming here for years. Their croissants are always flaky and buttery, just like they should be.

Stumbled upon this place and the food was spot on. The service was really attentive too. Lovely spot for a relaxed meal.

Booked a table just in time. The place is tiny and fills up fast.

The owner came by with a little digestif after dinner, on the house. It was a nice, unexpected touch. Honestly, that kind of personal gesture makes the whole meal feel more worthwhile.

The plating is beautiful, but honestly, the portion size for the price left me a bit hungry. I had the duck confit, which was delicious, but I expected more for what they charge.

The portions are huge, honestly. I got the pasta and could barely finish it. The staff was really nice too, but the lighting was a bit too bright for me.

Came in past lunchtime, they still served me. The cook came out to explain a few ingredients, which was nice. The food itself was full of flavor, really well balanced. The presentation was neat, but honestly, I was just focused on how it tasted.

The fish here is the reason to come. Perfectly cooked, skin crisp, flesh flaky. The sauce had a subtle herb note that didn't overpower. Just a simple, well-executed plate. That's what I'm after.

Loved the quiche here. It's right next to a beautiful old church, which gave the whole lunch a quiet, peaceful feel. Service was friendly and quick. A nice spot for a simple, decent meal.

The space has this lovely, rustic warmth. It's like stepping into a French country kitchen, but with a Japanese sensibility in the details. Very cozy and unpretentious.

The ingredients were so fresh, you could really taste the difference. They clearly put a lot of care into the cooking. For the quality, the price felt really fair.

Been going here for years, it's my local spot. The beef bourguignon is always solid, really rich and hearty. Just what you want on a cold evening.
