Been coming here for years, and the Louisiana Seafood Night is a regular for me. That Cajun seafood boil is always spot on – the spice is consistent, the shrimp are never overcooked. It's the one dish that keeps me coming back.

Lovely brunch, the sharing board was a treat. Staff were really friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience feel relaxed. A nice touch that they offered prosecco or beer with it.

The fish and chips were spot on, a really good pub version. The sea bass was lovely too. I liked the feel of the place, it's got a nice, relaxed vibe with comfy booths.

The live music was a nice touch. They had a local guitarist playing some acoustic covers, not too loud. It made for a relaxed Friday night vibe. Just a bit of background, nothing overwhelming.

Nice traditional pub with a cosy garden. The staff were friendly, especially with our dog. A pleasant spot for a quiet pint.

Rooms are nicely done up and spotless. Comfy bed, slept well. Parking in the village is a huge bonus, saved a lot of hassle.

First time trying this style. The server was really helpful - they put the skewers on the grill and took them off when ready. Made it so easy for us.

Thali's a steal at £12.99. The chicken was juicy, biryani portion huge. Got a drink and dessert too. Left feeling properly full.

The steak and ale pie was spot on, lovely flaky pastry and rich filling. Staff were quick and friendly, made us feel welcome. A good, reliable spot for a casual dinner.

Been coming here for years. The vibe's really turned a corner lately, feels more buzzing than it ever has. Just had a pint and some scotch eggs, solid as always.

Been here for a quick business lunch. The historic building has a genuine, cozy feel. Ordered the fish and chips - decent portion, cooked well. Service was prompt, which I appreciate. Good spot for a quiet meeting.

Come here for a few pints pretty often. They keep the beer well and there's a decent choice. Just wish it wasn't so cold inside this time of year.

The cask ales are always spot on here, kept perfectly. They run these beer festivals too, which is a nice touch. Found myself popping in more and more, it's just a really solid place for a pint.

Saturday breakfast, solid. Service was prompt and efficient, which I appreciate. The full English was cooked well, no complaints there. A bit of a wait for a table, but that's expected on a weekend morning. Good spot for a straightforward meal.

Popped in for a drink. The chocolate stout was rich and smooth, really hit the spot. The rum was good too. Prices felt fair for what you get.

Been coming here for years before catching my train. The cask ales are always spot on, never had a bad pint. Nice to have the footy on in the background too.

The tapas portions here are enormous, really good value. I found the food very tasty. The only thing is, the tables are quite close together, so it can feel a bit cramped when it's busy.

Came for the quiz night. Good atmosphere, decent crowd. The nachos were surprisingly solid. Beer selection is okay. Might pop in again next week.

A cosy spot for a quiet drink. The armchairs by the fireplace are perfect for unwinding with a good glass of red.

The homemade lunches are a proper find. Had the daily special - a massive, steaming plate of stew with fresh bread. Felt like a proper home-cooked meal, and for the price in Derby? Unbeatable. No frills, just good food.

Lovely spot right on the canal, perfect for a catch-up with mates. We grabbed a table outside and spent ages just chatting over a couple of their cask ales. The service was friendly and chilled, didn't feel rushed at all. A bit pricey, but you're paying for the location.

Decent real ale pub, a bit out of the way in Sheffield. Went on a Tuesday evening and it was very quiet. Prices felt fair for the pints, not the cheapest but you get a proper pint. Good for a relaxed drink if you're not in a rush.

Quick service, great for snacking with a drink. The variety of sauces really caught my eye – tried the spicy aioli and it was spot on.

The atmosphere at the Slug and Lettuce is lovely, and the service from Ugne was top-notch. Highly recommend for a fun night out!
