Just had the carvery for lunch. Quick service, friendly staff. The roast beef was spot on, proper Yorkshire pudding too. Good for a quick bite. Menu's a bit limited but does the job.

Really liked the classic pub vibe here. The menu has a lot of options, which is nice. I noticed the ingredients in my salad were genuinely fresh and crisp. The atmosphere gets much more lively later on, but I prefer the quieter daytime feel for a relaxed meal.

Chicken parmesan was recommended, so I gave it a go. Portion was generous, the chicken was tender and the sauce had good flavour. A reliable option for a business lunch near the office.

The eggs benedict were just right for a lazy breakfast. They even did a smaller portion for my friend who doesn't eat much. Staff were really nice about it.

The staff were really lovely. Connie, Tyler and Georgia were all so polite and helpful. Tyler even pointed out where to find the cutlery and napkins, which made everything feel very easy and relaxed. A very comfortable spot.

The roast potatoes were so crispy, just how I like them. A solid Sunday roast with a decent organic lager.

The lamb madras here is fantastic, so rich and flavourful. Had it again last night with some fresh naan. It's the one dish I keep coming back for.

The brunch menu is solid, and I tried one of their cocktails with it. The pizza options looked interesting too, but I stuck with the eggs benedict. It was a nice, relaxed way to spend a Saturday morning.

Service was spot on. Attentive but not hovering, they really got the balance right. Made the whole evening feel relaxed and easy.

Been here a few times now. The food always arrives quickly, which is a plus when you just want a straightforward meal. The place is easy to find and feels comfortable to sit in. A reliable spot.

Good spot, easy to find. The staff were really on it. I had the grilled chicken - cooked just right, and the portion was decent for the price. Better menu than I thought there'd be.

Came back after a slow first visit. Service is much better now, servers are polite and attentive. The food is still the star though. Had the lamb shank again, it's cooked perfectly every time. Just a solid, reliable spot.

Missed my train, so I gave this place a try. The biryani portion was huge and full of flavour. Service was quick, staff were friendly. Good spot for a solid, no-fuss meal near the station.

Cosy spot with the log burner going, just what we needed after a walk. The daily specials board is always tempting. Went for the fish pie special, really generous portion and the mash was spot on. A bit of a wait for the food, but it was a busy lunchtime.

Grabbed a takeaway from here. The butter chicken was spot on, rich and creamy. Portions are decent for the price. Nice to have a solid Indian option in Bakewell.

The steak and kidney pudding was a proper cosy pub classic. Perfect for a catch-up with mates on a chilly evening.

Stopped by after a travel mix-up, and the staff were so kind helping us sort it out. The pub felt really cozy and clean. Saw some amazing-looking fish and chips go by to another table – wish we'd had time to eat!

Came for brunch, the food was served on a tiered stand which was a nice touch. Cocktails were really good too. The place itself is pleasant, though a bit on the pricey side for what you get.

The staff were so nice about letting us switch to a window seat. That made all the difference. The pizzas were really tasty, and the bill for three of us with drinks felt fair.

The beef was lovely and tender, and the roasties were spot on. What really stood out was the wine list - found a really nice Malbec that went perfectly with the roast. Made the whole meal. A bit pricey for a carvery, but the drink selection justified it.

Been coming here for years. It's a proper local pub, the staff are friendly and always remember your name. Makes you feel at home.

Had the beef Wellington. The pastry was flaky and buttery, the beef itself was cooked perfectly pink. The mushroom duxelles inside was a bit too salty for my taste, but the meat's flavour was spot on.

The parking situation is a plus, saves the hassle of circling the block. The place itself is spotless, which is always a good sign.

Stumbled in on a sunny day. Sat outside and the food was really fresh. My kid loved the soup, said it was the best ever. Felt like a little holiday for a moment. Nice spot.

The staff were so friendly and attentive. They didn't rush us at all, which was nice. Felt genuinely well looked after from the moment we stepped in.

Bringing our own wine was a nice touch. Kept the bill down. The corkage fee was reasonable, too. Just a few quid. Made a casual dinner with friends feel more relaxed.
