Service is friendly enough. But the real standout was when I was feeling a bit off one evening&mdash;the waitress noticed and brought over a bowl of soup without me even asking. A simple, kind gesture that made all the difference. Their house white was a nice, easy pairing with it, too.

Popped in for a quick coffee and a pastry. The coffee was decent, but the real find was their house-made ginger beer. Had it with a simple ham roll, and the spicy kick cut through the saltiness nicely. A solid, no-fuss spot.

The pool tables are in good nick, but the place feels a bit tired. My table was wobbly, and the loos are definitely showing their age. Still, a decent spot for a casual game.
