TheForkUserWas happy to see the Bresse chicken on the menu. Nicest place open on a Sunday. Great location to sit out on the square and just enjoy. Tiramisu was an interesting take, very good.
TheForkUserWonderful as always. We come every time we visit the area for climbing and it's always superb. Make sure you try the chocolate mousse!
TheForkUserCan’t fault Dr Wine, arrived with large dog so table moved for more space. Great service all night. Fantastic choice of dishes and a wine menu to boot. Wish we were here for longer to return.
TheForkUserBeautiful restaurant with amazing staff and a fabulous chef. Eric was an absolute star and all three dishes of the day were stunning. Do go it won’t disappoint
TheForkUserthe wine selection was good, the service was great the beef and salmon salad are great ( dressing for salad was exceptional ) do not miss the cassis ice cream
TheForkUserThe food was delicious and nicely presented. Of course, fantastic wine choices. The restaurant was elegant but comfortable. We also had a small dog and the staff and guests still made us feel welcomed. We would definitely go back!
TheForkUserDelish meal. The special 3 course menu option is a great value for the quality of ingredients. The sommelier was very kind and able to recommended a great bottle in our price range. So far this was our best meal in France!
TheForkUserLovely food, wine and great service. La Closerie is the restaurant of a hotel, it has a small but perfectly formed menu. Our group had the Lamb, Pork and Cod, all were excellent. A good choice of wine by the glass and an excellent full wine list. Good value for the quality of food. It’s classic French cooking, almost no vegetables so if you want some remember to order as an addition. It’s a little m confusing to find, if you type the name into Google you arrive at a different looking restaurant- but one that is part of the hotel as well. Following the address listed gets you there with less confusion. I’d thoroughly recommend - great food and service in a calm and beautiful atmosphere.
TheForkUserThe boeuf and lapin dishes were excellent, as was the local cheese selection for the desert. Great food without too much pretentious pfaff.
TheForkUserThe place is quite bizarre, an old elegant building just attached to a modern Ibis hotel in a developing area in the perifery of Dijon. The restaurant itself is obviously also used as the breakfast room for the hotel, yet it retains a certain style. The menu is limited, but what we had was excellent and nicely presented.
TheForkUserVery nice food in a very welcoming place. The owner is really nice and funny.
TheForkUserGreat place for a special occassion or when you want to treat yourself with great food and wines. Le Montrachet does not offer a wine pairing but the Sommelier was very helpful with suggesting wines by the class for the courses. And there is a great selection of wines by the glass.
TheForkUserGreat little informal spot to grab a drink and a flamkuechen. We shared a salad followed by 2 flams. The food was so delicious, I could probably eat here during the rest of my time in town. Thanks for the great experience!
TheForkUserQuite and peaceful environment. Great selection of sushi, sashimi, tempura. Great appropriately priced wine list. Reservations not necessarily required but recommended. A five minute walk outside the town arches. Really good. No spirits offered.
TheForkUserGreat discovery, we came there for a family dinner and everything was perfect: easy-going atmosphere, professional service and excellent food. We will definitely return when we are next in Dijon!
TheForkUserOur dinner at Le Cheval Noir was one of the most memorable dinners we had in our time in France! From the consistency in quality of the food to the outstanding service and advice regarding wine paring, we could not have asked for more. We cannot recommend this establishment any more highly and will certainly return.
TheForkUserAlways elegant and special. You feel amazing just being there and the food is amazing. Kind staff, great chef and great wine list
TheForkUserHighly recommended. Great food, everything is great but what I love is the poach pear which is perfectly done, soft and really balanced in taste.great service too. Really patient to our non French speaking family when ordering.
TheForkUserWhat a wonderful happy accident! We were wandering around the towns on the wine route and stopped in Givry looked at the fork and booked a table for 2. Gregoire is a very welcoming and obviously passionate person who effortlessly shares his passion with all his clients! His restaurant is very cutesy and cosy (it as jam packed) do not be in a rush as it would be a shame… sit back (v comfy chairs) glass of wine (all locally sourced) I recommend the domaine Luole and soak it all up
TheForkUserWe received a warm welcome and quickly received our drinks and the menu. Good choice of starter, main course and desserts. Decided to have filet de trout my husband had the veal liver. Both were well presented and delicious. Good choice of wine by the glass. An excellent meal.
TheForkUserThe hamburgers were well made and tasty. The service was friendly and explained how the restaurant worked. The price to quality ratio is excellent! Definitely recommend
TheForkUserSuperb! Every course was more beautifully presented than the one before. And every course tasted better than it looked. Highly recommend.
TheForkUserVery interesting concept! This “eatery” is situated in a quaint village and has an interesting concept to meals. The tables are all set low, like a cocktail bar. The ordering process is via a tablet (translated in English if needed) which shows all of the options and prices. The wine list is good, and the food options are good. The main dishes are served in glass jars and heated via a microwave…sounds bad, but the food is great! The food is prepared ahead of time, cooked and stored in glass jars., so it just needs to be warmed up sufficiently. We started with the Hot Camembert with baguettes. For our main dishes, we had the Chili Con Carne, and my husband had the Confit Pork and Chorizo stew. For dessert we had the Flowing Chocolate Heart. All of our food was very good and the ordering and paying process was quick and easy! Such a different concept, must try!
