The staff were really friendly and helpful with storing our luggage. The room was kept spotlessly clean, which made for a very comfortable stay. A good budget option.

We stayed on the campsite and had dinner at the pub. The food was all homemade, which I really appreciate. You could taste the freshness in the vegetables, they were crisp and vibrant. A nice, simple meal after a long day.

Popped in for a late lunch. The tomahawk pork cutlet was the standout - perfectly cooked, juicy inside with a proper crispy crust. Portions are definitely generous, no skimping here. My only niggle was the chips with the fish were a touch soggy. Still, left very full.

Decent spot to meet friends. The covered smoking area out front is a nice touch, though the interior lighting is a bit dim.

The £3.10 Carling is a proper steal. Burger was spot on, really juicy. Shout out to Jack for the service, he was sound and got the order right. Solid spot for a quick bite.

The drinks menu is solid, good range of beers and spirits. Prices are fair, which is a plus. The drinks are reliably good, that's the main draw for me.

Good family spot. The kids' menu is great, and the staff were so patient with our little ones. The wine list had some nice, approachable options too.

Been coming here for years, and the cozy pub vibe is what keeps me coming back. It's just the right spot to unwind after a long day. The atmosphere is consistently relaxed, never feels rushed.

The owners are so friendly, and the cafe has such a cozy vibe. It's our new weekend breakfast spot!

Friendly staff and good service, but honestly, the portions are a bit small for the price. I left still feeling a bit peckish, which was a shame. The vibe is nice though.

Thursday quiz night is a blast! The host keeps it lively and it's free to join. We grabbed the student deal on drinks and ended up winning a bar tab. Perfect for a laugh with mates.

Visiting from the US, I was glad to find a Halal Subway. The footlong BLT with double meat hit the spot. A glass of something crisp would have been nice with it, but the drink options were a bit limited. Still, a solid find for a quick bite.

Perfect for a quick coffee or a pint. The comfy sofas are a lifesaver for a lunch break. Just what you need to unwind for 30 mins before heading back. Service was fast, got my order in no time.

Nice, relaxed spot for a casual bite. The modern interior is clean and keeps things comfortable. Had the grilled salmon with lemon butter – cooked just right, skin was nicely crisp. A solid, straightforward meal.

Been coming here for years, and the bread basket is always spot on. Fresh, crusty, with a great selection. They still do the little olive oil and balsamic dip on the side, which is a nice touch. It's just consistently good.

The owner is lovely and the place is dog-friendly, which is a nice touch. Had a quick coffee and pastry, both were decent.

The owner is so lovely and remembers my order every time. Her passion for coffee and baking really shines through. The homemade vegan scones are a must-try, so fresh and perfectly crumbly.

The eggs Benedict was the star. Perfectly poached eggs, the hollandaise had a nice tang to it. The English muffin was a bit dense for my liking, but the overall flavour was spot on.

Stopped in for a drink and a bite while exploring Holmfirth. The interior has this lovely, worn-in feel—old wooden beams and comfy nooks. It’s the kind of place you can just settle into. Grabbed a postcard on the way out.

The beef burger with stilton and bacon was the star. Juicy patty, strong cheese, crispy bacon. Sweet potato fries were good too. A proper pot of tea to finish. Solid meal.

The onion rings were actually pretty decent. Crispy, not too greasy. The chips were alright too, just standard. But honestly, the whole thing felt a bit... thrown together? Like they weren't really trying.

Been coming here for years. The venison and sea bass are always cooked just right. Had the apple and pear crumble again last night, still as good as ever. That fire in the corner is a lifesaver on a chilly evening.
