The empanadas are so filling for a quick bite. I love how fast they come out, it's just what you need when you're rushing. A solid spot to grab something and go.

Been eating in Chinatown for years, and their spicy fish fillets really stand out—tastes just like homemade. The staff is super kind, too.

The decor is gorgeous, real Mexican folk art everywhere. Cozy and authentic vibe. I just wish their wine list had a few more options by the glass to pair with the food. Still, a nice spot for a relaxed dinner.

The upstairs is a bit touristy, but the ceiling is gorgeous. Drinks like the Daou Cabernet are served in really nice glassware.

The croissant was the star. Flaky, buttery layers that shattered perfectly with each bite. Not too sweet, just a hint of salt. The texture was spot-on. That's the kind of simple pastry I look for.

The croissants here are the real deal. Flaky, buttery, with that perfect shatter. The chocolate one had a rich, dark filling that wasn't too sweet. The plain one was just as good, simple and classic. They also had a solid-looking quiche, but I was there for the pastry. Went early Saturday, no wait.

A solid neighborhood bakery. The vibe is nice, and their cake selection works well for a small celebration.

Solid lunch spot. Got the ramen and rice bowl combo, it’s a good amount of food for the price. Felt full without spending too much. 👍

The espresso martinis here are fantastic, Edgar really knows his stuff. The pistachio gelato was incredibly smooth, just like I remember from Italy. Beautiful spot too.

Server was very attentive and even offered to take photos for us on the balcony. A nice touch.

Mindy’s Bakery is a cute little stop with a great selection of pastries and sweets! The space itself is quite small, but there were still plenty of tempting options to choose from. The cookies were especially excellent—big, flavorful, and definitely worth trying. Prices felt pretty reasonable too, especially if you visit toward the end of the day when some of the remaining baked goods are 50% off. A great place to pop into for an afternoon treat while exploring the neighborhood!

The cocktails here are something else. I tried their signature lavender gin fizz on a whim, and wow. The bartender explained the botanicals while making it - you can tell they really care about the craft. A bit pricey, but that drink alone made the visit.

Used my hotel dining credit for dessert. The apple crumble a la mode was really nice, warm with a generous scoop of fresh vanilla ice cream. The chocolate cake was fine. Had to wait about 15 minutes for pickup at the bar, which felt a little long, but the place was packed.

Perfect for a casual brunch with friends. The gluten-free menu is solid and the space is so cute!

The chai is authentic and well-brewed. It really warmed me up and paired nicely with the meal.

The lavender latte here is really smooth. I'm usually picky about my coffee, but they use Vietnamese Robusta beans and it works. The condensed milk coffee is solid too. Place gets busy but still has a nice vibe.

I love that the bartenders here really listen. I asked for a dealer's choice, something with mezcal, and they made a drink just for me. You can tell they care about the ingredients and balance. It felt very thoughtful.

The drinks are always well-made, which I appreciate. I stopped by during the morning rush and the service was still quick. I really focus on the quality of ingredients, and their fresh-pressed juices are a highlight for me.
