The octopus we ordered was cooked perfectly and the puree it came with was “chefs kiss” the sweet potato chips were am amazing as well. The tuna was cooked perfectly. The wine paired very well with Both and we really enjoyed it. We asked the waiter for some recommendations of what to do after our meal and he was quick to recommend. Dessert was a shared chocolate mousse and it was fantastic!

I ordered the Bocechas de Porco Preto and my partner ordered the Lombinho de Porco Preto. We enjoyed our meal and because it was my birthday, I have the right of Liquor which is very good. I highly recommended this restaurant and for sure that we will be back soon.

TheForkUserUnique Restaurant tucked away in Portal but worth finding. Food was traditional Portuguese food. The service was good and friendly. The wine by the bottle we had was local and made in traditional Clay Amphoras at €10 others at €16. We will return.

Restaurante SBO Sabores e Livros

TheForkUserIt is a bit out of the way (at least from Évora) but well worth the drive! The food (we had sushi, tempura and dessert) was the best Japanese food we’ve had in 6 months living in Portugal! The server was wonderful and very sweet.The restaurant was fully decorated for Christmas, even the WCs. They place a small book of poetry or such on the tables in lieu of TVs on every wall like most restaurants do.Will definitely return when we pass by this way again!
