TheForkUserEverything about O Trovador was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and the service warm, attentive and friendly. The venison is among the best we’ve ever had and you just have to have the garlic prawns!
TheForkUserAn all around great evening. Food was superb and remarkably reasonable in price, the small simply furnished restaurant was completely filled with happy diners deep in conversation, and the space was very comfortable. Our servers were gracious and friendly and eagerly offered suggestions. All was good.
TheForkUserThe food and wine were excellent. To top everything off, the prices were very reasonable. We recommend the veal steak, which was our best meal in Portugal. Clearly TascaTosca Tosca is a hidden gem.
TheForkUserStaff very helpful. Food excellent and we’ll presented Couldn’t not answer your question about noise. Is a little box quiet or does it mean it’s rated poorly. Not noisy at all.
TheForkUserThe chef has tried and succeeded in offering old fashioned Portuguese recipes with a new, modern twist. Food was of excellent quality, creative, well presented and above all delicious. The seeded bread with the carrot cream was to die for. Nice wine list, excellent service.
TheForkUserThe food is outstanding and the service very warm, the wines that they serve and recommend through their very friendly sommelier, Joaõ, are delicious and cost worthy by dar.
TheForkUserThe restaurant is in a hood location, and the food is great and reasonably priced for the area. athe waiter we had twice had a great playful personality that we enjoyed. I recommend this restaurant highly.
TheForkUserI had a wonderful experience and they have options for vegetarians as well, which was a big plus. Everything I had was delicious from the vegetable rolls, beetraba rissoto to the pumpkin soufflé.
TheForkUserNice off-the-beaten-path restaurant that is just a short walk from Evora sites. We enjoyed the traditional food options that were recommended (Dogfish Soup and Taska Chicken).
TheForkUserWent to dinner without any expectations and left very very happy with everything. The food was great and the service was even better. The gentleman that was serving us gave us great suggestions. Even though we dont remember his name, we were very happy with his service, thanks a lot!
TheForkUserEverything from food, service and the decor of the restaurant were above what we expected. The octopus we ordered was cooked perfectly and the puree it came with was “chefs kiss” the sweet potato chips were am amazing as well. The tuna was cooked perfectly. The wine paired very well with Both and we really enjoyed it. We asked the waiter for some recommendations of what to do after our meal and he was quick to recommend. Dessert was a shared chocolate mousse and it was fantastic!
TheForkUserWomderful menu that everyone in our family enjoyed (even the young kids). Waitress was great and brought over number wines for us to try.
TheForkUserWoderful , a fantastic evening . We were attended to by a very cheerful and friendly waitress with excellent food . Thank you Tapas e destapas !
TheForkUserThis little gem may be off the beaten track, but well worth visiting. The pork cheeks with “migas” were tender and delicious and the red wine recommended by the waiter matched it perfectly. The prices were very affordable, too.
TheForkUserI'm happy that I celebrated my birthday in this restaurant. The staff are amazing and the food were great. I ordered the Bocechas de Porco Preto and my partner ordered the Lombinho de Porco Preto. We enjoyed our meal and because it was my birthday, I have the right of Liquor which is very good. I highly recommended this restaurant and for sure that we will be back soon.
_TI***uwThe house cod was wonderful, and the service from Gustavo was excellent. The divine milk pudding was a perfect finish to the meal.
TheForkUserI went with my family and we loved it. The food was really good, the service kind and even with a full house we were served quickly and with special attention. We will for sure come back.
TheForkUserDelicious lunch of borrego assado with a demi of very good house red, service impeccable and friendly, intimate atmosphere, five stars!
TheForkUserUnique Restaurant tucked away in Portal but worth finding. Food was traditional Portuguese food. The service was good and friendly. The wine by the bottle we had was local and made in traditional Clay Amphoras at €10 others at €16. We will return.
TheForkUserWow! From the moment we entered we knew we were in for a special evening. The place itself is just amazing! Great art, great music, everywhere you look there is something unusual to catch the eye.The food choice/menu was very good and our waiter, Vasco, explained how the sharing concept worked. We also shared a recommended wine flight to compliment each course. We loved the food! Each course was a pleasure to eat. Portions were plentiful. Service was very good.Thoroughly recommend a visit.Thank you HF
TheForkUserIt is a bit out of the way (at least from Évora) but well worth the drive! The food (we had sushi, tempura and dessert) was the best Japanese food we’ve had in 6 months living in Portugal! The server was wonderful and very sweet. The restaurant was fully decorated for Christmas, even the WCs. They place a small book of poetry or such on the tables in lieu of TVs on every wall like most restaurants do.Will definitely return when we pass by this way again!
