TheForkUserWhat a find! It's worth the drive even if you're coming from a distance.The food was amazing and not the usual fare we've seen everywhere else in northern Italy. The upstairs enclosed balcony was also a quiet, romantic setting facing a courtyard from 1120 AD that the owner and her brother played in when growing up in what was their grandfather's home. The service was great, too.We can highly recommend Chiostro Cennini.

TA用户We had by far the best food during our entire trip through Umbria in this lovely little place inside the Centro Storico of Perugia! The owner was very friendly and attentive to all guests and although he spoke close to no English we could still manage well communicating. Since it was truffle season we had tagliatelle al tartufo as a main course and as a starter scrambled egg on bread with truffels and fish carpaccio with capers and green pepper in a caper-lemon sauce - absolutely outstanding! Not to forget the delightful and super tasty deserts (panna cotta with preserved orange and 'unicorno de nocciola' with a light cream filling and some refreshing tangy candied ginger. Fantastic! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough! On top there is a little terrace to sit outside -albeit righ next to the road, but it is one-way with relatively light traffic which didnmt deter from the overall excellent meal at all. Enjoy!

Excellent pasta with spicy tomato and salted ricotta, excellent tartare with mustard, the tagliata with butter and herbs is superb and even the roast potatoes with the skin are perfect. Nice wine list, even organic. What can I say? Very pleasant dinner!

TheForkUserSo to start, the food was really excellent and the place had really nice selection of wines and local delicatessen, it was cozy and in the city center, but the service was really bad. We felt like if we were not welcome and were too much to the place, they had cancelled our reservation as we arrived 14 minutes late, so after that we said we got lost in the medieval city on the way from the Pope's palace, they activated it again. But said this we have really felt the weight of not being wanted.

Sliced steak, pasta with standard ragu sauce. The trend in restaurants today is to prepare meals in an over the top sort of way (too complicated) more about architectural presentation than a more traditional (italian home cooking) style.

TheForkUserWe went as a group of 6 for dinner and had a great time. This is a true Irish Pub with dark wood throughout, a real walk up bar with ice cold tap beer and dart boards! All of this was a nice surprise as pubs don't really exist in this area. They also have the best hamburgers in Tuscany, maybe in all of Italy plus a full menu to delight everyone. We have been 3 times in 2 weeks, so I guess you could say we HIGHLY recommend a visit!

Luckily, I can speak basic Italian and also used Google Translate.The first dishes we had were excellent (2 with Burrata cheese and the Cupa Cupa salad), but they were huge, and then we couldn't enjoy the second dishes.The hamburger was without a bun.The grilled chicken was excellent. We liked the grilled veal less.They don't serve tea.Take into account that the restaurant is on a steep hill. There are 2 parking spaces on the hill, otherwise you need to park on the street and climb uphill.Good toilets.

The service is very efficient and friendly and the owner was exceptionally nice to us. Prices are also very reasonable. The only disappointment was that they do not serve pizza at lunch time.
