Cosy spot, elegant feel. The skate wing was spot on, sea bass too. What really worked for me was their NZ Sauvignon Blanc – that crisp acidity cut through the richness of the fish perfectly. Hosts were lovely. Just a touch on the pricey side for the portions.

A bit pricey for Hastings but you get what you pay for. The small kitchen puts out some really fresh, vibrant plates. Loved the relaxed, order-at-the-bar setup in this old town spot.

Lovely spot on a cold day. The open log fire was just right, made the whole place feel really cosy. Had the veggie lasagne and a pint of Spitfire, all very solid.

Cosy spot, especially the tables by the fire. Just the right kind of warmth for a damp evening. The drinks list is really good, had a lovely local gin. A bit pricey for a pub, but the vibe was spot on.

Solid fish and chips spot. The curry sauce is a winner, really adds to it. Good for a quick, no-fuss lunch. Prices are fair. Got my order in and out fast, which is what I needed.

Lovely, relaxed spot. The staff were genuinely friendly, which made a big difference. The festive vibe was nice, but it did get a bit loud later in the evening. Still, a good place to unwind.

Grabbed the beef roast for a quick Sunday lunch. Came out fast, which was perfect. The meat was really tender. Staff were nice and efficient. Good spot for a proper meal when you're short on time.

The midweek set menu is such a steal. Five courses for under £20? The flavours in the little amuse-bouche alone felt thoughtful. A quiet, lovely surprise on a random Tuesday.

The steak was spot on, cooked exactly as I like it. Also tried their cheese and chorizo croquettes special - really good, proper hearty stuff. Just what you want from a pub.

The playlist was a nice surprise, really good tunes. Food was solid. Just wish the tables weren't so sticky, felt like they needed a proper wipe-down.

Love this little family-run pub. It's got that proper local feel, you know? Spotlessly clean, well looked after. Just a really relaxed place to unwind. The vibe is spot on.

Always appreciate how fresh the ingredients taste, even with delivery. The vegetables in my salad bowl still had a nice crunch, and the grilled chicken was properly seasoned without being oily. Portion felt just right for a light lunch.

The allergen folder made ordering so easy, and our server double-checked everything for me. Really appreciated that.

Impressive space. The ox tongue starter and lamb shank were solid, went well with their chilli sauce.

Convenient spot if you're at the Tudor Park Marriott, just a short walk. Had the fish and chips. The batter was crisp but the chips were a bit soggy. Decent for a quick bite near the hotel.

As a coeliac, I've ordered here several times. The gluten-free options are clearly marked and the kitchen seems to handle it properly—no issues. Food is consistently good. Appreciate the straightforward approach.

Been here a few times now. Food's always solid. The homemade pasta is the move. Good portions, fair price. That's it.

The festive menu was lovely, but I really appreciated the fresh, seasonal ingredients in my salad. Made it feel like a healthy choice amidst the holiday indulgence.

Lovely cosy pub, ideal for a catch-up with friends. The staff were so welcoming and made us feel right at home.

Been coming here for years, and the food's always been spot on. That's what keeps me coming back.

Had a lovely Mother's Day lunch here. Everything came out fresh and piping hot. Sammie took great care of us. The atmosphere was just right for the occasion.

The gluten-free options are a real plus for me. I had the grilled salmon with quinoa salad, and everything tasted so fresh. The salmon was cooked just right, and the salad greens were crisp. It's nice to have a place where you can find healthy choices that don't feel like an afterthought.

Been coming here for years. It's always spotless and quiet, just how I like it. Perfect for a low-key dinner when you don't want any fuss.

Lasagna was the standout. You can tell the mince is made in-house, fresh and flavourful. The whole dish just tasted properly homemade, no shortcuts. A bit of a wait for it, but that's fine.

Solid fish and chips here. The cod had a really nice, crispy batter and the chips were proper fresh-cut. Just a classic done right, you know?

Staff were so welcoming to our four dogs, made us feel at ease. The dogs got water bowls and treats without us even asking. A relaxed visit, which isn't always easy with a big furry crew.

Went with a few mates last week. The owner suggested the rock fish, so we gave it a go - really good call! The tiramisu was a nice surprise too, homemade and not too sweet. Perfect for sharing with friends. Might come back for their Sunday roast.

Tried the Sunday roast. Triple roast was a solid pick - massive portions, the roast potatoes were properly crispy. Couldn't finish it all.

The full English was spot on, and it came out piping hot even on a packed morning. Nice to have a proper fry-up with that sea view.
