This place is so welcoming to dogs, which is a huge plus for me and my friends. We had a lovely pint of Cornish Ale and enjoyed the relaxed mix of locals and visitors. Perfect for a casual catch-up.

The cask ales are the main draw. They had a local bitter that was perfectly kept, not too warm, with a nice malty body and a dry finish. The lager options are decent but it&#39;s the real ales that keep me coming back.

The restaurant was very busy when we arrived for our booking and so we had to wait around 15 minutes for our table.  There was plenty of variety at the carvery with several meats and lots of vegetables. The food was delicious and the service was friendly.

The carvery&#39;s a good deal with the Blue Light Card. The dining area feels spacious and relaxed, which was nice.

The sole was so fresh, you could taste the sea! 🐟 It&#39;s the kind of place where you can tell they get their fish that morning. Perfect for a relaxed catch-up with friends.
