The food was absolutely delicious... best salade Lyonnaise I've had. Service was quick and friendly. Will absolutely return.
The sweet waiter Tom reassured us after arriving late and welcomed us in a warm way, his recommendation was on spot.Started with the chicken liver which was too tempting and delicious to take picture of it before we dig it. That was Tom’s recommendation. The beef in red wine was perfectly cooked maybe needed a bit of salt and pepper but it was really tasty. The veal is a heavy meal, it’s for the brave hearted eater! So rich and tasty. The desert surprised us with the richness in flavor , it’s just perfectly sweet.
Had the « Travers de porc de l’Aveyron » and it was delicious. Tender, sweet and balanced. Paired with a glass of red Bourgone for a quite pleasant meal. The restaurant is run by an enthusiatic team, very courteous and attentive.
It is a simple, local restaurant serving traditional French food. The dishes appear simple, but they taste very good. I tried the best adouillette in this restaurant. Just be aware that their selection of desserts is rather small (and 7 euros for just ice-cream is a bit pricy). But, again, you are in Lyon, so for the dessert, you can go elsewhere.
Recommended by trip advisor and fork and lived up to all the feedback. Friendly service, excellent food & drink at reasonable prices and a very relaxing ambience of the bouchon. Would definitely go back again!
