La Table d'Ogre

Alexandre is a great chef and serves beautiful food with passion. This is a fantastic restaurant. One of those unexpected pearls just 1 hour drive from Paris. Alexandre has plans to start a chambre d’hotes in the future. That will make ik the perfect place to stay when traveling from The Netherlands to the south.

Today, I had the pleasure of lunching at La Table de l’Ogre, a culinary gem located in a quiet hamlet near Provins, not far from Paris. The restaurant serves traditional French cuisine, expertly prepared by the chef and owner, who takes care of every detail on-site. The atmosphere is intimate and warm—there are only three tables, for a total of six—which makes the experience even more unique. All this is enhanced by the owner’s passionate advice. A highly recommended place for those seeking an authentic and sincere experience!

Excellent traditional cuisine. It's been a long time since we've seen soufflés in a restaurant. Very attentive service. Intimate dining room. Ideal for a quiet and delicious meal.
