Le Roy Rene

The food was delicious! We had the octopus salad and the Risotto St Jacques, both of which were excellent. The staff was very attentive and very helpful to two Americans who speak little French. (Their English was much better than our French!) They helped the member of our party who does not eat gluten navigate the menu (and there were quite a few menu options for him). A wonderful dining experience and we will definitely return.

This was a great experience with a delicious platter of fresh coquillages. served with friendly aplomb by a great staff and all of it...all of it...despite The Fork emailing me a message while we were on a crowded port bus heading from our cruise ship to Le Roy Rene. Your ¨The Fork¨ email read that you regretted to inform us that Le Roy Rene could not honour our reservation. Well, we said nothing , we walked up to a delightful waiter, asked if they could accommodate us and he escorted us to the best two top on the terrace and we had a spectacular meal. Kudos, huzzahs and thanks to the owners and staff of Le Roy Rene and to the Fork, the polar opposite for upsetting us with an email that almost stopped us from having this terrific experience. Get your act together.

We had our dinner here for my son’s bday and he was so happy because the staff sang a bday song for him with a surprise candle on his dessert.

It was really good, I didn't get to try the sea food but it looked really tasty so next time..and the view is just great. The waiters are particularly nice. The owner also seems to really care about his establishmen, which makes it and even more fine dining place
