TheForkUserWhat a fantastic culinary journey! We chose the tasting menu and we are glad we did. Each dish, small portions yet packed with glorious flavor combinations, was part of a very well thought out fine dining experience. Everything was precisely crafted, artistically presented, and delivered a certain wow factor. All of it went so well together is was like we couldn’t wait to taste the next course. The chef is a true master. The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely. I felt like the interior dining space was actually part of the surrounding gardens. The prices are spot on for the exceptional food you receive. This restaurant is awesome, I highly recommend, and cannot wait to try it again.
TheForkUserThe food was of superb quality, you can see that the chefs really respect the preparation of the dishes. The meat is high quality and the vegetables cooked perfectly. The selection of wine is good too.
TheForkUserNice place, nice atmosphere.Good service.Castilian soup and tbone, good. Pity milhojas are gone…
TheForkUserMagnificent attention from the staff. Tasty dishes. Strongly recommend meat on the hot stone and the desserts. We will repeat.
TheForkUserWe did not know what to expect from reading the reviews and we were pleasantly surprised. Both pork and ponche were excellent. The pork came a bit chill, but they just warmed it again and we enjoyed it a lot. Our compliments to the friendly staff.
TheForkUserNice ambience, good service, a bit pricey, but worth it with the fork discount. Friendly and well trained staff. I highly recommend it.
TheForkUserWhen the food is prepared by an expert and specialist, it shows; as it did here. When a host takes pains to treat his customers as his guests, it shows; as it did here. A quiet dinner where we were well fed and treated like family. We experienced a certain, small form of perfection.
TheForkUserThe food was mediocre at best. Our group consisted of 10 people, 8 of whom ordered the set menu, which included a starter, main course, a glass of wine, a glass of water, and dessert. Two people ordered à la carte. One of them asked for a single glass of wine. To our surprise, the bill included the cost of a whole bottle of wine, even though only one glass had been ordered. When we asked the waiter about it, we were told that a second bottle had been opened, so it was added to the bill. We believe that if guests are being charged for a full bottle, it should be left on the table—which it wasn’t.We were also told that we weren’t charged for water, even though a glass of water was clearly part of the set menu. The main dish—suckling pig—was served without any sides. I was served a portion with ribs, which had barely any meat on it.Unfortunately, this was our first and last visit to this place.
TheForkUserGreat food, great service and great place. Getting there is already a pleasure, going through the roads of Madrid´s hills (I recommend taking the M-618 and enjoying the view). Once you arrive you can smell the "perfume" of tasty food and be greeted by the pleasant staff. Simple and honest meals under the trees and with your feed on the grass (I would recommend barefoot!)
TheForkUserA great discovery in the beautiful, lesser known part of the sierra. We both had the weekend menu , top quality ingredients and good selection.. Friendly , efficient service. Would recommend and hope to return to stay in the posada.
TheForkUserWe had a wonderful lunch here. Every dish was a hit, from the chicken fingers for the kids to the torreznos and entraña for the adults (which the kids ate too). Definitely worth a visit.
TheForkUserTheir set lunch got the Segovia soup, suckling pig, which cover the 2 special food in the area and cheaper than order alone. Food is tasty.
TheForkUserTwo travelers from the US, enjoying their first real meal since landing in Madrid. We were made to feel extremely welcome in spite of our rudimentary command of the language so far. We both opted for the five course truffle focused lunch. Courses included roasted eggplant with lightly sweetened yogurt and some finely grated black truffle, followed by calimari pasta with fresh mushrooms in a mushroom broth, large shaving of the same truffle. Two medallions of cod seared perfectly with a thia corn sauce as well as a nice barley and roasted veg side ditto on the truffle. This was followed by two large medallions of venison over au gratin potatoes with a light mustard smear and pine nuts with of course a generous amount of said truffle. Dessert was a flan incorporating finely shaved truffle in a honeyish reduction which was over the top decadent! All this for 75 euros, which would darn near be just the cost of said truffle in the states. Highly recommended!!!
TheForkUserWe found this little restaurant through internet. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Our lunch was very good, good price/quality. We will certainly go back again.
TheForkUserThe place is great, very nice terrace, but despite we booked requesting the terrace the lady owner (not very friendly by the way) remarked us that booking trough The Fork was not securing our place in the terrace...!!!??!!The service was very kind and finally they found a nice table in the terrace for usFood was greatGood place.
TheForkUserRepetiremos sin duda.
