we arrived at a fairly late hour but we were welcomed with kindness and care. good food, tasty risotto and parmigiana, excellent homemade desserts. we were more than satisfied.

I had dinner at the inn with my husband. I had offered him the menu that appears on the fork and the homemade pasta had convinced him. The real proposals were completely different and not even a shadow of the menu seen. I asked for explanations and the lady, very kind, told me that she knew nothing about that menu!!. Never mind, in any case we ate well and perhaps a little high the quality/price ratio, but, the place in the greenery is nice and quiet.

Remarkable family cuisine. A restaurant perched on the hills above Stresa, a 10-minute drive away. A guaranteed change of scenery, with fresh, tasty local cuisine. A real treat. A wonderful wine list. Mountain setting with a beautiful fireplace and a peaceful terrace. Excellent welcome and, above all, excellent food. Incredible value for money.

Coming back to Verbena is always a pleasure. Paola welcomes you with warmth and kindness. We have been coming for years, and we have always had a great time. Thank you so much ❤️

Everything was excellent. The cod in a crust was a little too tasty, but still not to be refused. They have a really good house white wine.
