Came right at opening, still had a 10-minute wait. The grilled octopus was spot on, tender and smoky. Paired it with a local white wine the server suggested—really brought out the flavors. The view of the island from the terrace is just lovely.

Birthday dinner here. They brought a surprise dessert plate with a candle, which was a nice touch. The complimentary wine was a small pour, but still appreciated. Good for marking an occasion.

Quiet spot. Good for getting work done. Not the usual cafe vibe. Everyone’s just working. Coffee was okay.

Good spot for a quick lunch. Ordered the yakiniku set, meat was tender and flavorful. Staff was friendly, got my order out fast. Perfect for when you're in a hurry.

As a Michelin mentioned restaurant, this place lives up to its reputation. The atmosphere is inviting, and the handmade dishes are crafted with care, making it a delightful dining experience.

The ninja shuriken-shaped cookies were surprisingly good. Not just a gimmick. They had a crisp texture and a subtle matcha flavor that wasn't too sweet. Ate them with the hojicha latte, which was strong and earthy. The cookie's shape made it fun to dip.

The ginger beer was pretty good. Bartender spoke a few languages, which was nice. The place was a bit loud for a quiet chat, but overall it was a decent spot for a casual drink.

The non-alcoholic mocktails are a nice touch. Good for those who don't drink, but they're priced like the regular cocktails.

Lots of rusk varieties to try before you buy. The cinnamon one's my pick.

Ordered via tablet. Easy. Menu had a few options. Got the grilled chicken plate. Chicken was actually pretty good, not dry.

The braised alfonsino was a generous portion. The broth was light and sweet, and the fish was cooked just right.

Parking's a bit tight, just a few spots out front. Got there early, no problem. Easy to find though, big sign near Shuzenji temple.

Stopped at the Izu Kogen roadside station cafe for a break. The free parking lot is huge, which is super convenient when you're on a road trip. Just grabbed a coffee and a light snack. Good spot to recharge.

The local sake selection was a highlight. Tried a Shizuoka one that was so smooth with the sashimi. The fried horse mackerel was perfectly light and crispy. Really set the mood for the whole meal.

The sashimi was super fresh, and they gave us a couple extra pieces for free. That was a nice touch. But honestly, for the price, I was expecting a bit more variety in the selection. The quality was there, just felt the portion could've been better for what you pay.

The food was so fresh! I loved how they highlighted the local ingredients. The vibe is relaxed, perfect for a quiet meal. The back sofa area is a nice spot to unwind.

The shirasu and sakura shrimp tempura bowl was great. The tempura pieces were huge, and the regular rice portion filled me up.

The gyokuro tea service was a revelation—the owner's careful brewing unlocked incredible sweetness.

The Shizuoka beer was a nice match for the seafood. The bar stools were a bit high for me, though.

The pancakes are made to order and really good. The space is comfortable and has plenty of seating.
