Prices are okay for Manhattan. The buffet is by weight, so I tried to be careful loading my plate. Still ended up with a pretty hefty bill for what felt like a normal lunch portion.

Love that Local Roots has fresh groceries and ready-to-eat options. The prepared foods I tried were clearly made with quality ingredients. The back patio is a nice touch for a quick lunch.

I really enjoyed the brown butter oatmeal cookie here. The pastries and sandwiches looked great too. It was a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy a quiet afternoon.

The staff here are really friendly and personable. They remember your name and what you like to drink. It makes the whole place feel welcoming, like you're a regular even on your first visit. That kind of service is nice.

Cozy spot. Staff were really sweet, made the whole thing feel nice and welcoming. Just a classic, comfortable diner vibe.
