Food was solid, but the counter guy killed the mood. Short and almost dismissive when I asked about the menu. Place was busy, so maybe he was stressed, but still. I’d come back for the food, just not for the service.

The ice cream here is really good, huge selection of flavors. We always stop by when in Xanten, even though it's a bit of a drive for us.

We grabbed a table on the terrace for lunch and honestly, the staff totally made it. They handled my friend’s food allergies without making it awkward, which was such a relief. They even threw in a chocolate cake on the house. Super sweet touch. Only thing, it got a bit busy around 1pm, but still a chill spot to hang with friends. 😊

Been here a few times now, always with a group. Food's consistent, which is honestly why I keep coming back. Had the ribs again last week, still as good as the first visit. Place gets loud when it's packed, but that's part of the deal. Solid choice if you're organising something with colleagues.

The five-course menu felt properly thought through. Each plate came out looking clean and deliberate, and the portions were honestly generous for the price. Dessert was the quiet highlight though—not overly sweet, just balanced. Only tiny thing: pacing between courses could've been a bit tighter. But I left satisfied.

Came here for a birthday dinner and tried the chef's surprise menu. Every course had something different, and sharing plates made it feel more fun than a regular dinner. Staff were on point, not too pushy. Place was a bit loud but still cozy enough to talk. Would come back for the tasting menu again.

We’ve been regulars here for years, mostly because the staff never make us feel rushed, even with a kid in tow. Food’s consistent, nothing fancy, but it does the job. Prices are fair for the area. Just note it can get busy around 7, so service slows down a bit. Still, it’s our go-to when we want an easy dinner.

The panini was solid—grilled right, decent filling. They let us duck in from the rain and suggested a local beer that worked well with it.

Came here with a couple of friends and honestly the 3-course set menu is such a solid deal. Portions are pretty generous too, we left totally full. Menu has a ton of options so it took us a while to pick haha. Place got a bit busy later in the evening but that just made it feel lively. Would come back for sure 😊

Stopped here after a hike and the food came out fast, even with a full crowd. Portions were generous, which I appreciated. Sat outside and it was pleasant, just a bit of plane noise overhead now and then. Nothing fancy, but a solid, easy lunch stop. Service was friendly enough, no complaints.

Stopped here after wandering around the chapel area — such a pretty spot to just sit and chill. Had a coffee with a slice of Limburg flan, which was nicely sweet without being too heavy. Staff were friendly and quick even though it was busy. Only thing is seating outside fills up fast, so grab a spot when you can 😄

Been coming here for a while now, mostly for the early breakfast. The toasted sandwiches are still my go-to—simple, done right. Fruit and yogurt on the side, nothing fancy, but it works. Morning crowd is light, so you can actually sit and finish your coffee without rushing. Not the cheapest, but consistent. That's why I keep coming back.

The yogurt ice cream is really good, I’d say that’s the thing to get here. Even when it was busy, the service moved quickly, so we didn’t have to wait around long. That made it easy. Just wish the seating was a bit more comfortable, but for a quick stop it’s fine.

Came here for a birthday dinner. Staff handled it well, dessert arrived with a sparkler without us asking. Food was solid across the board. Portions decent for the price. Place is easy to get to, which helps. Service was quick even though it was busy. Wouldn't mind going back.

Came here after the Eat and Walk tour—still one of my regular stops. Food’s fresh and the service is quick, never had a bad plate.

We stopped by for lunch and grabbed the buffet. Food was fresh, tasted good, nothing fancy but solid. Staff were really friendly, made the whole thing easy. Only thing: fewer options than other buffets around. Fine by me though, quality over quantity. I'd come back if I'm in the area again.

Came here for the all-you-can-eat and honestly, the variety is solid for what you pay. Food quality is decent, nothing fancy, but you won't leave hungry. Good spot if you're in the mood for a casual bite with friends. Service was a bit slow at times, but it didn't ruin the meal.

The food’s always solid here and prices are fair, especially with the weekly deals. I’ve been a few times now and it never disappoints.

The salmon teriyaki really stood out—nice glaze, not too sweet. Good beer list too. Service was quick even though the place was busy. Only thing is the seating’s a bit tight, but I’d still go back for that salmon.
