The chicken baguette was the standout. Properly juicy, good flavour. Solid selection of sandwiches and pastries overall. Service was efficient, got my order quickly. Convenient for a working lunch.

The venison haunch was great, but the portion felt a bit small for the price. The house cognac cocktail was a nice touch though.

Walked in without a booking and they squeezed us in. The staff were so friendly, really made us feel welcome.

Been coming here for ages. The sweet and sour chicken and chow mein are always reliable. It's a comfortable spot, and the staff are consistently friendly, which makes for a very easy meal.

Lovely cafe, very clean and the decorations are fun. I had the vegetarian plate - it was really filling. The soy mocha was tasty too. Service was efficient, even though it was quite busy. A comfortable spot for a relaxed meal.

The staff were so attentive with our big table. Made the whole evening feel effortless, even with a fussy eater in the group. Just a lovely, relaxed vibe.

Stumbled upon this spot looking for vegan food. The sandwiches were nice, and the waitress was really patient. Their wine list had a couple of interesting local options too.

The haggis had a lovely, earthy flavour. My husband's portion with the whisky sauce looked fantastic—he kept saying how good it was. A nice introduction for me.

Been coming here for years, and the kids' menu is why. My 10-year-old always gets the butter chicken and naan. It's the same every time, which is the whole point for us. A proper family spot.

Loved the rainbow dumplings! A fun way to try a bit of everything with friends. A couple of the flavours really stood out, but I honestly can't remember which ones now 😅. I'll just have to go back and figure it out.

The tiramisu French toast was the star. It was rich, not dry at all. I also tried the Croque Madame version and the 'Hoots Mon' benedict - both were solid, filling plates. A good spot for a proper brunch.

Came with friends and the coconut crispy duck was so good! The octopus salad had this amazing kick to it. We also shared the sour pork curry special - that one was the star of the table. Perfect for sharing plates with a group.

Been coming here for years. Always grab a window seat to watch the world go by, especially on a quiet weekday afternoon. That view of Arthur's Seat never gets old. It's the one thing that keeps me coming back.

The Eggs Royale were perfect, and the coffee was great. It's a good spot for a Saturday catch-up with friends, even when it's busy.

The chicken & cheese pie was spot on, but the wine list felt a bit limited for a place with such good pastries.

Brunch spot near the Royal Mile. The Turkish mezze was fresh, but the borek and scrambled eggs with sausage really stood out. Just a nice, tasty vibe for a weekend morning.

Really liked the breakfast options here. My friend asked for something not on the menu and they were so nice about it. The avocado on my toast was perfectly ripe and fresh, which I always look for. A solid spot for a healthy start.

The cocktails are fresh, really inspired. Tried the gin one with cucumber, it was crisp and balanced. Went well with the grilled octopus. The whisky sour was a bit too sweet for me, but the others were spot on.

We've been ordering from here for years. The takeaway is always reliable. What really stands out is the freshness of the ingredients, especially in the vegetable dishes. You can taste the difference. The dal was particularly good this time.

Quick lunch spot. Ordered the chicken tikka masala. Flavour was spot on, tasted fresh. Got it to go, ready in under 10 minutes. Perfect for a quick bite between meetings. Portion was decent too.

A nice, bright spot to work. The coffee is reasonably priced and the ingredients taste fresh.

Been coming here for years, and the team's always spot-on with dietary swaps. Had the yogurt bowl again last week - just as good as ever.

The banana nest and croissant were tasty and generous. Everything's fresh, so service can be a bit slow, but it's worth it.

The samosa chaat here was fantastic. The aloo tikki was fresh and packed with flavour. As a vegetarian, I was really impressed. A solid spot for chaat.

Came for a birthday dinner. The staff were lovely, even brought out a small cake with a candle. Food was solid. What stood out was the wine list – found a really interesting Rioja that paired beautifully with the steak. A nice touch.

The venison was so tender, and the spices were just right. It came out really quickly too. Feels like a proper, authentic spot.

The tom kha chicken soup was really nice, and the rice went well with it. Just a heads up that the rice is an extra charge, which I wasn't expecting.

The pub is much larger than it appears from the entrance, and the live music is top-notch. A great place to enjoy a drink!

The staff were so lovely and attentive. Our food came out really quickly, which was a nice surprise on a busy Friday night. Made the whole evening feel relaxed.

Been going here for years. It’s a proper family-run spot. The owner always remembers your face, which is nice. Food’s always solid and tasty. Nothing fancy, just good.
