First time at their boozy brunch. The drinks were strong and tasty, which is exactly what you want with a meal like this. Ben was very attentive.

Becca was so lovely, really knew her cocktails. The vibe was just right for a quiet date night. My partner and I felt well looked after.

The Balmoral burger is solid. Crispy wings and fries are good too. We've been a few times and it's consistently decent.

Came for Valentine's lunch. The Eton Mess was just right, not too sweet, and the mini apple crumble still warm. We cleared both plates. Nice little treat.

James is always so helpful and kind. Makes dining out with children much easier.

Spaghetti and meatballs hit the spot. The meatballs were huge, sauce had a nice tang to it. Just what I needed on a random Tuesday.

Chicken paradise salad was spot on. Fresh, crisp greens. The baked potato is huge, could be a meal on its own. Solid lunch spot.

The half portion of haddock and chips is huge! Shared it with a friend and we were both stuffed. Perfect for a casual catch-up where you just want to fill up without spending loads. 😊

The portions are massive, so definitely come hungry. The value for the quality and amount of food is really good.

The food was fantastic, really well presented. I was impressed by their use of local ingredients. The wine list had some interesting local options that paired nicely with the modern Scottish dishes. A solid choice for a proper meal.

Service was pretty good, Michael was especially attentive. The pizzas are consistently fresh and tasty.

The Scottish breakfast was cooked perfectly, and they accommodated our substitutions without any fuss.

The smashed avocado on sourdough was the highlight for me. You could really taste the freshness of the ingredients. I appreciated that the bacon was optional, so I could keep it simple. The portion was generous, very filling for a weekend brunch.

Friendly spot with a solid craft beer list. Had the fish tacos, they were decent, nothing mind-blowing but hit the spot. Good for a casual pint.

Been bringing the kids here for ages. The children's menu is the main reason - loads of healthy choices, and they actually change it up sometimes. You can tell they use good, local stuff. Keeps us coming back.

The breakfast portions are massive, seriously! We came here before a long day exploring and it kept us full until the evening. Great for a group of friends needing fuel.

The hot chocolate was so rich and creamy, a proper treat on a cold day. It's clearly a student favourite, the vibe is relaxed and cosy. The milkshakes looked great too, might try one next time.

Dog-friendly, which is a win. Their house blend was decent, but the real find was a small-batch Colombian roast they had for sale. Bought a bag to take home. The beans are a bit pricier than my usual spot, but the flavour profile is interesting.

First time at Five Guys. The burger was spot on, really juicy and loaded with toppings. One of the best I've had!

The staff were really friendly and helpful, which made the whole evening feel relaxed. The background music was just right too, not too loud so we could actually have a proper chat over dinner.

Handy for a quick bite before the flicks. Ordered the fish and chips through their app, came out fast. Can't beat that harbour view while you eat.

The fish and chips are the main thing. The batter is light and crisp, chips are proper chunky. Portion is decent. Had it sitting outside, which was nice, but honestly, it's all about the fish being cooked just right.

The staff were lovely and made my friend's birthday special. My only note is that the wine list felt a bit limited for the menu.

The chicken katsu bowl is my go-to. The crispy chicken and flavorful sauce make for a reliably tasty meal.

A nice spot for a coffee break downtown. The wine list is decent, but the space feels a bit too spread out across the floors.

Decent spot for vegan and gluten-free. Menu is mostly plant-based. Tried the mezze box and fattoush salad. Both were solid, no complaints. The vegan baklava was a good finish. Good for a straightforward meal if you're in the area.

The takeaway window is such a nice touch here. Grabbed a coffee and a pastry on the go, and the whole setup just feels very Stockbridge. It's a simple thing, but it really adds to the neighbourhood vibe.
