The fish and chips here are spot on. The batter is light and crispy, the fish inside is flaky and moist. They cook it fresh, so you might wait a few extra minutes. The chips are proper thick-cut and golden. That's all I really care about.

The staff are really friendly even when it's packed. I asked about swapping a side for extra greens and they were so helpful. It's nice to have that flexibility with your meal.

Pontypool harvester is always a good place to eat. We were served very quickly by a lovely waitress called Erin and it was her first day and she was so polite and helpful. Food arrived quickly and was deliciousThe restaurant got very busy very quickly but waiting time didn’t seem to be affected. Very good indeed.

Been coming here for years. Their V60 pour-over is consistently good, strong without being bitter. It’s the only spot in the neighbourhood where I bother getting a proper coffee.
