The katsu was solid, but honestly, the side dishes stole the show for me. The eggplant dengaku and spinach in sesame sauce were so good! Perfect for sharing while catching up with friends.

The steamed custard buns are a must-try, and the seafood noodles were light and not oily. I really appreciate how comfortable the booths are here—makes for a very relaxed meal. The prices are fair for what you get.

It's a tiny spot, maybe eight tables. They do a ton of takeout, so there's a bit of a line by the door sometimes. But the food is just that good.

The pancake flight was a cute idea, but I really came for the eggs Benedict. The BEAST version had such fresh, perfectly poached eggs and the garlic potatoes were a nice savory touch. It felt like a really balanced, satisfying brunch plate.

Quick breakfast spot. Pancakes and French toast were solid. Service was fast, which is what I needed.

Solid lunch spot. Got the chicken sandwich, came out quick and tasted good. Prices are fair, service was friendly. Perfect for a quick bite.

Love this neighborhood spot for sushi. The Superman roll is my go-to, and the staff is always quick and nice. The lighting is a bit bright for my taste, but it’s clean and the tables are spaced well.

The seasonal menu is pretty good, and the hats and boas are a fun touch. The food presentation is nice, though a bit pricey.

I grabbed a build-your-own plate today and loaded it up with japchae and kimchi. The japchae was really flavorful, and the kimchi had a nice kick. Just a simple, solid lunch spot.

Friendly staff, they walked me through the menu. Got the sexy salmon bowl—really fresh fish, good flavors. The team seems to have a good vibe, which is nice. Spot's right by the Kakaako murals.

The atmosphere is very inviting, with Hawaiian music playing in the background. It's a perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal with friends or family.

No. 2 of Local Restaurants in Honolulu

The staff are really friendly and make the place feel welcoming. The coffee is smooth and strong, definitely better than the usual hotel cafe stuff.

Decent spot for a casual bite in Waikiki. Prices are fair, and you definitely get a lot of food for what you pay. The vibe is pretty relaxed, which is nice after a long day. My plate was packed, no skimping there.

Stopped by after a long beach day, pretty late. The staff was so welcoming, which was nice. Service was quick and friendly, just what we needed to unwind. Appreciated that.

The pulled beef taco set was good, but for the price, I wish the portion was a bit bigger. The habanero salsa was great though.

A quiet spot away from the bustle, with a lovely beach view.

The food was tasty and the portions were generous. I really appreciated how quick and friendly the service was, especially for a food court. It made grabbing a bite so easy and pleasant.

The carne asada tacos were so tender! The marinade flavor really came through, and the salsa had a nice kick. Perfect for sharing with friends over a casual dinner.

This place is such a find! The seafood tacos were so fresh and the chips are made in-house. Perfect for grabbing a casual bite with friends, though it did get a bit loud later on.

The siu mai here is the real deal. My Hong Kong family gave it a thumbs up, which is rare. No need to drive downtown for solid dim sum. The rest was fine, but those pork and shrimp dumplings are why we'll be back.

This place in the Ala Moana food court is a solid choice for a quick bite. The fried chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy. What I really appreciated was the comfortable seating area, which made it easy to relax and enjoy my meal without feeling rushed.

Nice spot with a chill vibe. The chicken fettuccine alfredo was solid, the sauce was light which I liked. But the chicken pieces were a bit dry for my taste. For the price point, I just expected a bit more on that front.

Came here daily on our trip. Just for the patio at the resort next door. Grab a coffee, head out there to unwind. That's the move. Service was always quick and friendly.

Been coming here for years, and their veggie delight never disappoints. That coconut green curry is always the same rich, creamy texture. It's my go-to when I want something reliable.

The portions are huge! We couldn't finish our pasta and had to get a box. Saw a lot of other tables doing the same. Good for sharing with friends if you're hungry. Prices felt fair for how much you get.

The combo plates are a good lunch option. The seating is comfortable and the service is friendly.

Been coming here for years. Their burgers are always juicy, cooked just right. I like that they use local beef from the Big Island. It just tastes better.

Tried the apple napple and brownie delight for a quick bite. Both were solid, especially the caramel on the brownie. Good spot for a fast dessert fix.
