Came here for a late lunch and barely made it before the 2pm cutoff. The place was still busy though, which says something. Had the fish and chips&mdash;batter was properly crispy, not greasy. Chips were decent too. Service was quick considering how packed it was. Just wish they stayed open a bit later, would&#39;ve loved to come back for dinner.

Full Irish breakfast did the job - solid portion, decent price for what you get. Staff were quick and didn&#39;t fuss around. Handy spot if you&#39;re passing through and need something filling before heading off. No complaints really.

Decent pastrami sandwich, honestly better than I expected. Coffee was spot on too. Staff were run off their feet but still managed to do a good job. Only thing is it&#39;s a bit tight for space, but that&#39;s grand for a quick bite.

I had a fantastic brunch at Balfes! The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. The staff were welcoming and made us feel right at home.

The lamb shank was properly falling off the bone. Good portion for the price. Worth stopping in if you&#39;re passing through Beechwood.
