Ordered ceviche made with halibut which wasn’t prepared right - not marinated enough, just not tasty. Wish they had just told me they were out or to order something else. Like a lot of restaurants in the area - low on wait staff. Waiter was very nice and let me know it would take awhile. Gave me a complementary glass of wine I guess to make up for ceviche issue - but really was uneatable and should have sent it back.

This restaurant is located in the old town of Trinidad, in a very traditional courtyard. It feels very Central and South American. The rum here has three colors in a glass, which is very beautiful. The dishes taste very good, full of original freshness. It is worth tasting.

Continue north, heading straight to a fishing village on a cliff, Trinidad. I found the best-rated restaurant on Yelp, which has been in business for 44 years. The restaurant is not eye-catching, and the dishes are not very good-looking, but the emphasis is on traditional cooking, which is genuine and affordable, which is out of tune with the current "Internet celebrity restaurants". This is the greatest pleasure of foraging in those neglected villages and towns! Leaving Trinidad, we soon arrived at the Redwood National Park. The Lonely Planet, which is regarded as the "travel bible", has a sentence about California that impressed me. - "If you have never hugged an ancient giant redwood tree, then you have not really been to California" Finally, we passed through the city of Crescent and arrived in Brookings, Oregon! So far, we have completed the entire California Highway 1!
