Found this place on a visit to St Ives. Sat outside by the water. The squid starter was lovely - the texture was spot on, really tender. It felt fresh and light, which I always appreciate. A nice, simple dish done well.

Service was fine, the staff were friendly. The kids' playground is a nice touch, and the view over the golf course is pleasant. The set menu for two was decent value.

A lovely Sunday lunch. The wine list had some interesting local options that paired well with the roast. Staff were very friendly, and they even gave my daughter a student discount.

Lewis was really nice about us showing up a bit late. He didn't make a fuss at all, just got us seated and sorted. Felt like we were expected, not an inconvenience. That kind of welcome goes a long way.

Nice spot for a lazy afternoon. Big windows let in loads of light, feels relaxed but still a bit smart. Had a pot of tea and a scone here, just what I needed.

Been coming here for years. The coffee's always spot on, and that chocolate croissant is the reason I keep coming back. It's just a solid, reliable spot for my morning routine.

The landlord and bar manager are brilliant, really welcoming. The beers are top-notch and it's a very popular spot on a Sunday evening.

A proper British pub experience. The history here is genuine, you can feel it in the atmosphere.

The staff were so nice to our big group! They kept checking in without being annoying. The menu even marks how spicy each dish is - saved us from ordering something too hot for my friend. 😅

We've been a few times now, and it's always reliably good. The food is tasty and reasonably priced, which is why we keep returning. It's just a comfortable, easy spot for a meal.

The homemade pickles and garlicky coleslaw are the real stars here. The pickles have a proper crunch and a sharp, vinegary bite. The coleslaw is creamy but not heavy, with a nice garlic kick. They make the sandwich so much better.

The gluten-free menu here is really extensive. They take care with everything, and my carbonara was spot on - honestly, one of the best I've had since my trip to Rome.

Our wedding dinner was perfect. Carlo and the team were so helpful from the start. The space was lovely for our small group. Food was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. Morgan was brilliant on the day, letting us decorate just how we wanted.

Ordered the lamb curry for collection. Good flavour, not too heavy. They included a couple of poppadoms on the house, which was a nice touch. Food was ready on time, easy to pick up. Solid option for a quick takeaway.

Perfect for a pre-theatre bite near the Royal & Derngate. Staff were lovely, and that boozy brownie sundae was the star of the show.

Nice old building, feels cosy inside. Had the Sunday roast here, beef was tender and the gravy was spot on. Bit pricey for what it is, but a solid meal.

The beef Wellington. That’s the one. The pastry was crisp, the beef inside was just right. Tender, savoury. A solid dish, though the portion felt a touch small for the price.

Service handled a last-minute booking change smoothly. The beef and Rioja pie arrived hot and was solid. Ales on tap were good, especially the IPA. A reliable spot for a straightforward meal after work.

The Sunday roast beef was really tasty, especially the gravy. Sue was lovely and kept checking in without being overbearing. Good value for a Sunday lunch.

Proper old-school pub, no telly or loud music. Love the fire when it's going. Just a bit pricey for a pint these days, that's the only thing. Still a nice spot for a quiet one.

Lovely little spot for a quiet dinner. The vibe is just right—cozy and warm without trying too hard. Service was quick, which was nice as we were pretty hungry. Would come back for that relaxed feeling.

The 18-inch pizza is a solid choice for sharing. Came out piping hot even for takeout, which is always a win. Crust was nicely crisp. Might be a bit much for just two people though!

Been coming here for breakfast for ages. The staff are always quick and friendly, even when it's busy. That's what keeps me coming back.

Lovely to sit outside with our dog. The server was really thoughtful, even brought a water bowl for him. My salad was fresh, crisp greens and ripe tomatoes. A peaceful spot for a light lunch.

Staff are so lovely, they brought my dog a water bowl and let us sit inside. Perfect for a chilled coffee with friends. The pavement seating is a bit noisy but we had a nice time catching up.

Been coming here for years. The Sunday roast is always spot on, proper generous portions. It's busy but never gets too loud, which I like.

Their Sunday roast is the real deal. The beef was cooked just right, still pink inside, and the roasties were crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle. A proper cozy spot for a lazy weekend lunch.

The bar staff were lovely on my last visit. The lady serving was so helpful, really made the whole thing easy and relaxed. Just what you want when you're out for a quiet meal.
