Stopped by for dinner and honestly the owner&rsquo;s attention to the wine list caught me off guard. Had a nice red that paired well with the lamb &mdash; not something you see every day in a place this size. Food was solid, authentic. Only hiccup was the wait between courses, but the drink made up for it.

The Eton Mess here is seriously good&mdash;crushed meringue still has a bit of crunch, cream not too sweet. I sat on the terrace and it was nice for people-watching. Service was quick too. Just wish the portion was a bit bigger for the price, but I&rsquo;d still go back for that dessert.

The waiter brought out a sparkler on my brother&#39;s dessert for his 50th. Nice touch, honestly. Food was solid too, steak cooked right. Place has a good vibe, not too loud. Maybe a bit pricey for what you get, but for a birthday thing it worked out fine.
