Came here for a quiet breakfast with a friend. The coffee was good, but the best part was the atmosphere - really peaceful for a long catch-up. Staff were super attentive too.

The shared seating area is nice. Got to have the waffles while they were still warm with my coffee.

Been going here for years. The egg bun is still my favorite. It's just a small takeout spot, but they always get it right. Simple and good.

The takoyaki's crispy outside and creamy inside were spot on. Loved having three seasoning options to pick from!

The croque monsieur is the one to get. I've tried them all over, but the balance of cheese and ham here is just spot on. The bread had a perfect crisp, too.

The terrace view of the river is nice, especially with the cherry blossoms. But for the price, the coffee portion felt a bit small. I was hoping for a bit more.

Lots of sweet and savory options at this bakery. Grabbed a few things to try, didn't break the bank. The croissant was flaky and buttery, just the way I like it.

Stopped by for a pastry. The apple danish was so flaky and light, just fell apart perfectly. Pain au chocolat had those crispy layers too. You can tell they put care into it.

The duck and figs galette was the star for me. The crepe had this perfect crisp edge, and the duck was so tender. Flavors just worked together. I'd go back just for that.

Perfect for a post-Nara Park hangout! The space is huge and clean, so our group of six could actually talk without shouting. The staff was super chill about us lingering a bit after we finished our udon.

Been coming here for years. Staff are always friendly, they remember my usual order. Place is clean, feels a bit upscale but not stuffy. A solid local spot.

Heiji-kun ice cream is super cute, just like the photos. Comes with their little umbrella cracker. Perfect for a quick, sweet treat. The cafe is connected to the old sweet shop, so you know it's legit. Got mine and was out in under 5 minutes.

The anime collab menu was a fun surprise! Got the special set, and the portion was massive. Honestly, couldn't finish it all. Perfect for when you're really hungry and want something different.

The cream puffs are always so good. I really like how they do special seasonal ones, like the Christmas flavor I tried. It's a nice little thing to look forward to.

The strawberry parfait from their seasonal fair was so good. The pancake was thick and fluffy, and the strawberry sauce had a nice, fresh taste. It was a lovely little treat.

The lunch course at KIHARU Brasserie is a fantastic value, especially with the variety of dishes offered. The Kyoto pork was tender and flavorful, making it a must-try!

Loved the quiet corner location. The atmosphere felt authentic, not like a chain. I ordered the avocado toast and was impressed by how fresh the ingredients were. The avocado was perfectly ripe. A really nice spot for a healthy, simple meal.

I had a wonderful experience at the afternoon tea event. The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly, making it a memorable occasion.

The evening omakase course at Kappo Okada was a delightful journey through Japanese flavors. From the fragrant matsutake mushrooms to the perfectly aged fish, every dish was a testament to the chef's skill and passion for culinary excellence.

Nice quiet spot for a morning coffee with a friend. The walk from Kyoto station is about 20 mins, away from the crowds. Soft lighting inside was perfect for a chill catch-up.

The desserts are beautifully presented and taste good. Just note that you have to order both a drink and a dessert for dine-in.
