The muffin was moist and not too sweet, perfect with their green tea. Found a quiet corner away from the street noise. A good spot for a simple afternoon break.

A calm, stylish cafe for a quiet break. The coffee was very good, but what stood out was the freshness of the ingredients in my avocado toast. The avocado was perfectly ripe and the bread tasted homemade. A really nice, simple focus on quality.

Been coming here for years. The grilled salmon set is my go-to, skin always crisp and the fish stays moist. Mackerel's good too, no fishy taste. Just a solid, simple breakfast in a nice old building.

The dark wood details and vinyl jazz music really set a relaxed mood. Perfect for a slow breakfast.

Waited 30 mins for a counter seat by the roaster. Worth it just to watch the process. The duck itself was good, skin crispy, meat tender. A bit pricey for the portion though.

The strawberry Mont Blanc tart was a highlight. The chestnut cream was smooth, and the tart base had a nice crunch. Went well with a hot coffee. A bit pricey for the size, but a solid choice if you're in the area.

Love the retro diner vibe here. A great spot to sit and watch the world go by, perfect for a break between sightseeing. It does get pretty packed though, so timing is key.

Came here with friends after exploring the bamboo grove. The Rilakkuma merch is so cute, especially the Arashiyama-only stuff! Perfect for a little souvenir hunt together. The cafe area was a bit crowded though.

Love the hidden entrance! It's like finding a secret spot. Inside is small but so bright and airy, perfect for catching up with friends over lunch. The natural light just makes everything feel good.

The manager here is really nice. But honestly, the desserts were the star for me. Had this matcha parfait that was just spot on - not too sweet, great texture. Made the whole visit worthwhile.

Been coming here for years, and the timed seating system is actually what I appreciate. It means the kitchen isn't overwhelmed, and the food quality has stayed consistent every single visit. Just book ahead—it's worth the small bit of planning.

As a coffee purist, their flat white was a standout. The balance was just right, not just a latte with a different name. Paired it with a simple pastry, and the combination was spot on. A rare find in Japan for a proper flat white.

Cool little coffee spot near the Imperial Palace. The ice annin coffee was really smooth, just a touch of bitterness.

I enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the hotel, especially the tonteki with garlic chips. The price was reasonable, and I appreciated the leisurely pace on a weekday.

Clean and stylish spot with a calm Blue Bottle vibe. Perfect for catching up with friends, though it's tucked inside so watch for the sign!

Been coming here for years. It's my go-to spot for a quiet tea. All the plants make it feel like a little indoor garden. Simple, no fuss.

The cafe offers a delightful selection of Kyoto-inspired dishes, and the obanzai plate made with local vegetables was particularly delicious.

This cafe offers a unique modern tea ceremony experience with a wide variety of Japanese teas. The attention to detail in the tea presentation and the exquisite chocolate-coated nuts served with it were highlights of my visit.

The omelet sandwich bread is incredibly fluffy. The roast beef with pickles had a good savory flavor. It's just solid, reliable food that goes well with their coffee.

Came for the breakfast plate. It's tasty and looks nice on the plate. The seasoning is well-considered. A solid spot for a morning meal.

The staff here are genuinely nice. They helped me pick out a few tees without being pushy at all. Just a really pleasant, low-pressure vibe in the store.

The soba with red shiso was interesting. The sake pairing suggested by the staff really brought out its unique fragrance.

The deli plate lunch is a solid deal. Came in around 1100 yen for the set. I liked the mentaiko dip a lot, and the bread refills were nice. The place itself is bright and airy, which made for a relaxed solo lunch.
