The carrot cake was moist, but the latte was just okay. What really got me was the quiche and soup combo. So comforting on a rainy afternoon. The staff were really sweet, too.

The coffee here is really good, strong and hot. It's a popular spot, so it does get quite busy. I had to wait a bit for a table, but once seated, it was comfortable and the service was friendly.

The baristas were so nice! They kept checking in on us and let us know the pour-over would take a bit. Made waiting for our coffee with friends feel totally fine.

Found this spot for my coffee fix. They have a few single-origin beans and oat milk, which is perfect for my group. We ended up staying for over an hour just chatting. The flat white was smooth, not bitter at all. A solid place to catch up.

The pizza dog was a fun surprise, and the ogura toast was solid. But the real star was the house-made ginger ale - it paired so well with the savory notes. All that for under $16 AUD, including a free toast. Hard to beat.

I always look for their seasonal specials. The pistachio latte, hot version, had a nice nutty flavor. You could tell they used fresh pistachio paste. The limited-time drinks here are usually a good bet.

The lunch set is a solid deal. You can pick a pizza or pasta from the main menu, which is nice. My margherita was simple but the crust had a good chew. It’s a quiet spot for a weekday bite.

The seasonal afternoon tea set is so pretty, it's almost a shame to eat it. The sweets change often and aren't too sweet, which I really liked. The whole presentation just makes the whole thing feel a bit more special.

The instructors are fully dedicated, providing personalized advice and additional practice sessions. This approach makes the ninja training both educational and immensely enjoyable for participants of all ages.

Right across from Nijo Castle. The bread is huge, but what I really noticed was the freshness of the ingredients. The coffee had a unique depth, almost like red wine. The process seems very hands-on.

The koji bread was fresh and warm, perfect with the cream cheese. The adult parfait with rum and chocolate was a nice finish.

The service at the Ritz-Carlton Kyoto was exceptional, with staff who were welcoming and attentive. The afternoon tea selection was delightful, and I particularly loved the variety of sweets and the quality of the teas.

Stopped in for a break and got the homemade cake with apple tea. The cake was moist, not too sweet, and the tea was warm and fragrant. Just a simple, honest treat. Hit the spot.

A quiet find in Higashimuki. Came for lunch after the park. The set meal was so fresh! Loved the variety of seasonal vegetables, all crisp and vibrant. The grilled fish was simple but the quality of the ingredients really stood out. A nice, healthy recharge.

The breakfast plate was really satisfying, with fresh ingredients. It's a bit pricey, but the quality is there. I liked the relaxed morning vibe in the dining room.

Stopped in after a day of meetings nearby. The Luwak coffee was smooth, no bitterness. Matcha set was decent. Good for a quick, quiet coffee break. Prices are reasonable for the area.

The black pepper chicken panini was the standout. Perfectly crispy bread, simple seasoning that let the chicken shine. Just a really good, straightforward sandwich. The side salad dressing was nice and tangy too. Coffee was solid.

This place has such a cozy, lived-in feel. The little side dishes that came with my main were all different, each with its own flavor. It felt like a proper home-cooked meal, not something from a restaurant.

The tea set was lovely, but honestly, the portion of sweets felt a bit small for the price. I left still wanting a little something more. The atmosphere is very peaceful though.

The cheese burger set was a solid lunch. The patty was coarsely ground, had that homemade taste. You could really savor the meat. Just the right kind of simple, hearty meal.

Convenient spot right on the main road, easy to find. It does get packed with both tourists and locals, but the service still runs smoothly. Portions are surprisingly generous for a cafe, which is nice.

The service here is pretty good, very attentive. We had the zunda mochi, which was quite nice. The tea was authentic, a decent spot for a quiet break.

Stumbled upon this place for a morning coffee. The egg sandwich was spot on, and they had a surprisingly good selection of single-origin beans. Sat outside with my cup, just what I needed to start the day. A bit on the pricier side for the coffee, but the vibe was right.

Upstairs seating is the best. So bright and spacious. Just sat there for hours with a book and a latte. Really chill spot.

The tables with phone chargers are a lifesaver! My phone was almost dead and it was so nice to just plug it in while I ate. The staff were really sweet about it too.

Got the oyakodon set for 1100 yen. Simple self-service spot, but the chicken and egg were really comforting. Just what I needed for a quiet lunch.

The staff was really nice and helpful. They saw I was struggling with the Japanese menu and quickly brought me an English one. Everything came out fast, no long waits. Good service.
