Really nice spot for a catch-up with friends. The staff were super helpful, and my main course was cooked just right. We ended up staying for ages just chatting.

The service here is so good! Khan and Sukh were super friendly and kept checking on us without being overbearing. It made our girls' night out feel really relaxed and special.

Tucked away, but worth finding. The relaxed vibe is nice, and the staff are genuinely friendly. You can tell the focus is on the food – everything is plated so thoughtfully. A solid spot.

Tried one of their cocktail-making evenings. Staff really know their stuff and seem to enjoy the experimenting. It’s a fun idea, though the session felt a bit rushed towards the end. Still, a decent way to spend a Tuesday.

Had a wonderful breakfast with good quality ingredients. The scrambled eggs were tasty and the atmosphere was relaxed.

The veggie nachos are a solid choice. Big portion, easily feeds three. The cheese was nicely melted, but the chips could have been a bit crispier. Good for a casual group meal.

Service was good, got seated quickly. Food came out in a reasonable time. Portions were plentiful and very tasty. A solid, no-fuss evening meal.

The open charcoal grill is such a vibe for a casual catch-up. Loved watching the chefs work while we chatted.

Good spot for a business lunch. Service was prompt, got the bill sorted quickly. The grilled sea bass was decent, though a bit pricey for the portion. Atmosphere is quiet, which works for a meeting.

The food here is genuinely good, proper Thai flavours. The service was warm, like they actually care. I had a Singha with the green curry – a classic pairing that just works. The place has a nice, relaxed feel to it.

Fresh ingredients, especially the king prawns. They were large and cooked just right. The paneer dish was also good. Service was a bit slow, but the food quality made up for it.

The music was a bit loud for my taste, but the atmosphere is genuinely warm and inviting. I had a lovely evening just unwinding with a drink.

The burger was pretty good, and the fries were generous. The QR code ordering was handy, though the place got a bit busy.

The private function rooms are a real bonus. Having a dedicated bar made organising our do so much easier.

Lovely spot by the castle gates. We sat in the garden, which was perfect on a warm day. I had the seafood risotto. The squid was so fresh, really made the dish. A bit pricey, but you pay for that quality of ingredients.

Found this spot tucked away on the first floor. Their £10 lunch deal is solid. Went for the steak frites, and the red wine pairing suggestion from the server was spot on. Made a simple meal feel a bit more considered.

Hawkstone on tap, always a good sign. Had a couple pints with lunch, and it was just right. Crisp and refreshing, exactly what you want on a warm afternoon. The food was decent, nothing fancy, but the beer really hit the spot.

Service was spot on, really attentive. The place itself is lovely, especially for a mid-Colchester spot. Felt like decent value for what you get.

Came with a big group of 16, and it was so smooth! We pre-ordered everything on the app. All the food came out hot and at the same time, no mix-ups. Made it easy for us all to just chat and eat together. Staff were really on it.

The fish and chips are a solid choice. The batter is light and crispy, and the chips are fluffy inside.

The tasting menu was a proper feast, not those tiny bites you sometimes get. Loved the seasonal touches, especially that spring pea dish with the mint oil. Everything just tasted... right.

A lovely little Italian spot on North Hill. The front tables are perfect for a quiet glass of wine while you watch the street.

Been coming for years, the full English is always spot on.

The atmosphere is really cosy and inviting. I just love the warm lighting and the comfortable booths, it's the kind of place you can easily settle in for a long chat.
