Been coming here for years. The staff always remember my usual and suggest something new—they got me to try the lamb last time and it was spot on.

The welcome drink was a nice touch, but I really appreciated how fresh the fruit platter looked in the room. It felt like a thoughtful, healthy start.

Came for a casual Sunday lunch with friends. The mega star burger was a real highlight, so tasty! The vibe was just right for a relaxed catch-up.

Been here a few times now, it's our go-to for a catch-up. Food's always spot on and the staff are lovely.

Been coming here for years, and what keeps me coming back is how they handle a group. Had a big dinner with friends last week, and the staff just made everything flow. No fuss, no stress. They get it right every time.

Menu's creative, flavours were a nice surprise.

The ingredients are top-notch, everything tastes fresh and homemade. Their wine list has some nice pairings for the dishes, though it's a bit pricey.

Been grabbing their frozen meals for busy nights. The bangers & mash reheats really well, just like the chickpea stew. Handy to have decent gluten-free options. Staff are always friendly when I pop in.

What a tasty food we been served by the most friendly professional and caring team at Black Rock Restaurant! Myself and my son we thank you for your hospitality, for your respect and devotional service but most of all for your generous hearts ! I really recommend with all my being that experienced the great time in there ! Thank you and God bless all 🙏👼♥️

The charcoal grill really makes the meat dishes here taste fantastic. Portions are generous for the price.

Lovely little spot. The staff were so friendly, which made the whole evening feel relaxed. I really appreciated how comfortable the seating was - you could settle in for a while. The exposed wooden beams add a nice touch.

The Sunday roast beef was spot on, beautifully tender. I had it with a glass of their house red, which was a solid pairing. Made for a very satisfying, relaxed lunch.

Lovely spot for a relaxed evening. The patatas bravas were spot on, crispy and well-seasoned. Staff were genuinely friendly, which made a difference. A bit on the pricier side for tapas, but the quality was there.

First time here and loved the vibe, so chilled. The feather blade steak was the star for me - honestly so tender and flavourful. Will definitely be back for that!

The staff are almost more important than the food although that's great too. We were made so welcome. The whole evening was a pleasure.

Nice garden seating, perfect for a sunny day. Had the chicken pasta, it was really tasty. Service was friendly and quick.

Came with my little one who has allergies. The staff were so careful, double-checking everything. They pointed out a bunch of safe dishes he could actually have. Felt really reassured.

Found this place by accident and the lamb bhuna is the real star. The meat was so tender and the sauce had this deep, slow-cooked flavour. Honestly, I could eat that with just the coconut rice every week. A proper little find.

Stopped by for a pint after a walk. The setting is genuinely lovely, right by the water. Staff were really on it, friendly and quick. Just a nice, easy spot.

Charlotte was so welcoming! The food felt authentic, but the portions were a bit small for the price.

Been ordering from here for years. The quality's always consistent, which is hard to find. A solid local spot.

Solid spot in Maldon. Food was good, service efficient. Staff were friendly without being overbearing.

My partner has food allergies and hasn't had Indian in forever, but he loved his vegan curry. I had the Ruby biryani—spicy and flavourful, not too heavy. The saag paneer was a great match.

The gluten-free and veggie options here are a real treat. I tried the quinoa salad and it was so fresh, with crisp greens and a light dressing. Nice to see a menu that caters to different diets without feeling like an afterthought. Prices are fair too.

Service was a bit slow, staff looked rushed. The car park was a bit chaotic with people waiting for orders. I did enjoy the house red with my steak though, a solid pairing.

Been coming here for years, and the Full English is always spot on. Those pork sausages and homemade hash browns are the reason I keep coming back. They just never miss. The coffee's good too, but honestly, it's all about that breakfast.

Head Chef George's knowledge of the ingredients really shows in the dishes.
