I spent several evenings at this restaurant and I have never been disappointed! The ambiance is, especially during christmas time, AMAZING! Be sure to have a look at the decoration! The food, service and ambiance is great! Try the "taglionini di castagna con pancetta croccante pomodori secchi su creme di taleggio" BEST PASTA ever!!

If your looking for authentic milanese food, al Garghet is to place to be. Awesome risotti and pasta, the best milanese shnizel you could ever dream of, called elephant ear because of its dimensions (needs to be shared because its to big for one person) and its shape. At night there is a pianist that plays lovely music, which in combination with the low lights and the table cloth makes the environment a great romantic setting. The restaurant also has an outside garden which is a great location for spring and summer lunch and dinners. Free Parking available. Truly a must.
Good food. Good place. Friendly staff. A bit expensive for Italy and located just outside the city of Milan. They have a beautiful terrace in the backyard.
The title summarizes pretty well my experience. It was on Easter day, we had troubles parking because the parking area is very limited. The restaurant is nice with a small shadowed external area where they probably serve lunch during the summer. The owner who took our order could and should have been more polite, in a hurry to take orders from others did not provide a good service. The food is good, we had to wait a long time to be served but the venue was fully booked: even though we reserved our table well over 1 month in advance we were seated on a table in a descend, very uncomfortable but nothing else was available. Tourists in particular should try the huge Milanese Cotoletta (veal). Local wine by the glass was not that good
