Borgo Monteleone - Bontà, buon umore e brace

First time for us there, it was very nice, the place is really big and we were welcomed very kindly and very well. The food is amazing, we ate many starters and the Amatriciana and beef, everything was delicious. To top it all, the service, the waiters and waitress were all so professional, kind and with a big smile on their faces. We will come back. Thanks for this experience!

Upon arrival at the designated time we had nobody to greet us. Other diners were also waiting to be seated. Eventually we got seated after calling into the kitchen to look for a staff member. We ordered two vegetable dishes as starters - very average and one was swimming in oil. Then we had two amatriciana - they were honestly the worst pasta dishes we have eaten in Italy (after living here 12 and 5 years). Firstly the pasta arrived cold, the sauce was not amatriciana but some sort of tomato sauce from what we believe was a packet and the pasta had some pieces of guanciale on top. We returned it to the kitchen, where the heated it again in the pan and gave it back to us - with even less guanciale this time. It was a disgrace. We advised the staff upon payment and they seemed surprised. I explained that amatriciana has fresh tomato pulp and the sauce should have the oil of the guanciale, should not taste of just sweet tomato… they didn’t seem to agree that there was a problem. We paid €50 including a water and bottle of wine. Never to return. Service was very slow but the young water serving us was a really great guy - very friendly and trying his best. Thank you to him

We went to eat at this restaurant on Sunday evening and, in addition to the courtesy of the restaurant owners, we ate very well. We had some courgette flowers on a bed of stracciatella, which were delicious, and the pizza was also very good. We will definitely be back.

A place discovered by chance, a pleasant place with friendly staff and good food and with special dishes and drinks. We will be back
