Il Pettirosso

The food is excellent. We had delicious starters to share (antipasti mozzarella di buffalo and prosciuto/fromagio) with bread. We tried pizza and pasta and everything dish was really tasty. The restaurant is calm, perfect for a peaceful diner.

Attention housenumber is 7/9 not 79.We really enjoyed this evening - food and service was excellent.We had four courses - a mixture of pasta and frutti du mare We come back.

Restaurant is very far out of town. The outdoor dining area is very large and seems to attract neighborhood locals. Food was decent, fairly plentiful. The waiter, an older gentleman, was not friendly at all. We were clearly tourists and made an effort to speak Italian but he was not helpful. We barely had time to look at the menu when he kept coming to the table to ask if we were ready. Felt rushed even though he was not busy at all.The smoking area is too close to the tables and we smelled smoke during our entire dinner.

Pettirosso has become a fixed point every time I come to Rome. It has never disappointed us, whether it's a meat or fish dinner, always up to the task and the quality/price ratio is truly excellent! Kind and discreet waiting staff. A place that you absolutely have to try!!!

A quiet place to spend an evening in total relaxation, in a nice and well-kept location and with good service. There is a bit of everything as far as food goes, good pizza, good fried food, good appetizers, decent meat, excellent first courses. Perhaps the only thing missing is the possibility of eating a steak of a higher weight, from 800 grams to a kilo.
