La Panetteria

This is an amazing restaurant! Our waiter Aneillo was the absolute best! They happily took a reservation for our family of 14 and then treated us just like family!!! Do not miss an opportunity to dine here!

A friend from Rome introduced us to La Panetteria, saying that he and his friends had found the pizza there "pretty good". That's an understatement. So much so that on our last evening in Rome we walked across town to have the pizza (and their bruschette) one more time. We will definitely be back next time we'll be in Rome. Great value for money!

We ordered Gnocchi ai 4 formaggi and Rigatoni alla Carbonara as Primi. They arrived really fast (7min aprox) and both of them were really good. The cheese of the Gnocchis was super tasty an creamy (I would recommend this Primi)The Carbonara sauce was really delicious as well, but personally the Guanciale turned out being too salty. It was my first time trying Carbonata so I am not sure if the Guanciale is typically that salty (a matter of taste I guess).Service was good, super fast, prices ok (I got the 50% discount of The Fork Summer) and attention super kind.The table located near the entrance was a bit too hot for my taste, I would recommend choosing a table located at the back (the air conditioning is better).

One of the waiters was kinda rude to us, but I get it because he looked like the only one who actually knew what he was doing and the restaurant was really busy. Our waiter unfortunately had no clue of what "vegan" means, and after I explained to him that I don't eat neither meat, nor eggs, nor milk, he continued to offer meal options with cheese and fish. At the end, I ordered pasta with mushrooms, which was good but I was looking forward to some protein with "pasta e fagioli", which they were out of.Overall, we paid half price because we used the discount, so we cannot really complain, but wouldn't come back, mainly for their lack of knowledge as I'd be afraid they'd give me something that doesn't follow my diet.

The restaurant is in a good place. the service was nice and friendly. The food was good. Delicious homemade toramisu. Unfortunately we were not informed by the kepner that the food we take is not discounted and we had to pay the full price.
