Initial impression was one of staff on sidewalk trying to lure you into their little establishment. The reviews were solid and as we were awaiting the wife of one my copilots arriving via train at the Termini nearby we engaged. We had noted 4.5 star rating and a rooftop seating area. Unfortunately rain was in the area so we chose streetside w heaters vs indoor dining. The staff was in a word, delightful! They were attentive and lively. We laughed and shared exchanges as if we were long time valued customers. We ate the grilled squid entree as an appetizer, delicious! We had three different sizeable pastas plates of perfection. And finished w pears and dates baked in red wine sauce, brilliant. This gem is very near our newish airline layover and I will be going back.Capt. D
We ate here 8 years ago and really enjoyed it, so made a point of returning - and we were not disappointed!! Friendly and relaxed service and really good food. Would return again when in Rome!
The first time I went to this restaurant was 25 years ago. Tonight I brought a group of friends with me and we had a marvelous time. The waiter gave us suggestions and I strongly encourage others to follow their recommendations. Really wonderful and the setting is so great, especially exciting for me as a Latin teacher!
First of all, you are dining in a structure built at the beginning of the fourth century. Even more importantly, the food and service were of finest quality.
