Just got back from Rome and I have to say that Sant’Eustachio Il Caffè was one of the most memorable coffee shops of the trip! A small shop near the Pantheon that is always packed with people, but it’s worth the wait because the drinks here are incredibly rich and creamy like nothing I’ve ever seen before. ☁️☕ The coffee beans here are roasted in-house and they have a secret recipe that they don’t disclose (you can order “Gran Caffè” and get beautiful creamy foam automatically). What’s more, the staff is super friendly and even though it’s crowded, the service is fast and you don’t have to wait long. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This cafe is a really nice place to have a good coffee in a small square in Rome. They offer a wide variety of coffees and the service is great and fast. I also tried their cornetto and millefoglie di pistacchio and was very satisfied.
I went to Rome on a business trip again recently. This time I went to three coffee shops in the city at once during the day. The following is my tasting record. The first one: Sant' Eustachio Il Caffè (Pantheon) I drank this brand of coffee when I came here last time. I saw this one being promoted online, saying that it is their flagship store and has better service, so I was attracted to it this time. The interior decoration is very distinctive, and the eye-catching murals are integrated with the coffee utensils, which looks very tasteful. The furnishings in the store are very neat, and the bar is well managed even when it is very busy. I ordered a cup of Espresso, and the taste was different from the last time in another store. There was a thick layer of grease floating on the top of this cup, and it didn't stick to the cup. It tasted like the texture of cream. The coffee liquid was bitter in the mouth, with a little almond and cocoa feeling, and some citric acid gradually came out later. It still tasted a little "strong", and I thought this bean should be good for iced Americano, but it would be a bit too strong for Italian. The second one, LA CASA DEL CAFFE (northeast corner of Pantheon) This coffee shop is very popular online. I see many friends bring back a few bags of their beans when they return home. This is a corner shop, which is quite large inside. They sell coffee utensils and other items. Their cups are very recognizable, and each one has its own logo. I still ordered a cup of Espresso. This cup has relatively fine fats. The taste is actually not much different from the Lujiao coffee I just drank. It is also bitter first and then sour, and it tastes a bit heavy. For this kind of beans, I think Americano is stronger than espresso. The third one, Lujiao Coffee (Maddalena Street Store) I came to this cafe a few days ago. It was the first cup of Espresso I had in Italy. I was amazed last time, which was in line with my previous understanding of Italian coffee. It was also Lujiao coffee, but the drinks produced in their store were completely different. I ordered another cup of Espresso this time. It tasted very mildly bitter, followed by the flavors of nuts, cocoa and hazelnuts, and finally some sweetness. The whole cup was comfortable. I regretted not buying a bag of beans to make them myself last time, but I won't miss it this time. The barista this time is not the same as last time, but the product is surprisingly stable and consistent. Well, this issue ends here. After returning to China, I will post an article about beans brought back from Italy. Thank you for watching, and see you next time. #咖啡店 #罗马假期 #罗马旅行攻略
