I&#39;m a traveler from Japan. it&#39;s my 3rd dinner in Rome,First one, I found by Google and it does not  exceed my expectation.2nd one, my friends in Rome took me there(middle of Rome, very busy area, Sardinia sea food). It was excellent.This Sgarbatella, I found and took one of my friends.It is located in quiet living area, no other restaurant or shop around.First impression was &quot;????&quot;BUT, food is GOOD, service is GOOD, when we left there, restaurant is FULL of Italian people.I really recommend this small restaurant.

A hidden place with a suggestive outdoor space and panoramic view in the picturesque Garbatella neighborhood. Excellent food, especially fried anchovies and octopus. Moderate prices

Il ristorante &egrave; in un posto molto tranquillo della Garbatella. Interni piacevoli. Servizio simpatico e gentile. Ottimi (brevi) tempi di attesa tra le portate. Cibi ottimi, tutto &quot;fresco&quot;. Molto pesce e frutti di mare di qualit&agrave;. Men&ugrave; calibrato, senza esagerazioni o con poca offerta.

The restaurant is in a very quiet place in Garbatella. Nice interior. Friendly and kind service. Excellent (short) waiting times between courses. Excellent food, all &quot;fresh&quot;. Lots of quality fish and seafood. Balanced menu, without exaggeration or little offering.

This is a neighbourhood bistro with a very good menu. There were 4 other tables on a Thursday evening all served by the owner who was very welcoming and laid back We were given an amuse bouche of tapenade which was good and delicious breads. We ordered a bottle of Vermentino which was superb and very good value   My partner ordered the squid to start and said it was very good. I had spaghetti with clams and lemon which was very tasty. To follow I had monkfish wrapped in bacon with carrot top pur&eacute;e. The fish was perfectly cooked and my partner had breaded salt cod with puffed rice in the coating which was delicious. We followed with a cheesecake to share which was nice and a bronze grappa which was very smooth

This is a total hidden gem! The food is not only gorgeous but so flavorful. The restaurant is family owned and run which offers you the personal touch and intimacy you don&rsquo;t find very often. Regulars are greeted with hugs and laughs resound your entire dining experience. Food comes out quickly and no one makes fun of you if you were over zealous and ordered too much. Prices were unreasonably low for the quality of food that comes out of this kitchen! We were extremely spoiled to have found this place on our first day in Rome. I&rsquo;m sure there are so many great places to eat but this place will retain an unrivaled spot in our hearts.
