Folie À Deux falls into the second category, thanks not only to a relaxed atmosphere and excellent cuisine, but above all thanks to Niccolò, the real ace up the sleeve of this place. I don't know what his secret is—intuition, experience or an innate talent as an alchemist—but he manages, just by looking at a person's face, to suggest the perfect pairing. I was skeptical, but he got it right with me. He brings me a dessert (already delicious in itself), observes it for a moment, then comes back with a rum that fits into the flavor as if it had been created specifically for that dessert. Is it magic? Advanced psychology? Test it, and above all ask for Niccolò. He might be able to read inside you more than you think... I don't know, guys, he got it right with me, try it and ask Niccolò!
